It was a great night at the Wild McBuffalo. Mo' M.E.A.T.!!!McTuff are:
Joe Doria, Master of the B3
World Renowned Skerik on the Black Metal
The impeccable Andy Coe
And D'Vonne Lewis providing 100% solid rock on the drums
This band is groovy. They are rippin. They are grinding. They boogie down. They put the fun back into functional. It's just what the doctor ordered. Friday night at the 'Buff found Denny, Bad Kitty and myself in for one hell of a treat. Three jam cruisers on for the ride. I was sporting my new M.E.A.T. shirt. Needless to say the band LOVED that one.
These guys are ready for Jam Cruise. Every single one of them has the chops to make the most of the gift of cruising. They are having so much fun playing right now it seems that they can do just about anything they want. And they WANT to get on the ship and make some waves.
Skerik knows this and he prays to the M.E.A.T. Gods
Andy doesn't know what to do but shred it
It sounds like they have a bass player but it's Joe's feet that do all the walkin'
So that's how you do that?
The sound of McTuff is always evolving. They just seem to keep getting better and better. Andy's "laser beam" sounds are a dance party just waiting to happen. There are few drummers I can think of that get it like D'Vonne. I am actually at a loss for words to describe how funky his drumming is. I can only say that he is...100% solid. Joe is the glue. You have to stand behind him to really appreciate what's going on with his playing and watch his feet. It's just fucking amazing. Skerik is stripped down to his bare essence as a jazz player and it suits him well. It is pure, unadulterated black metal.
Andy, fire the lasers the fate of Cherry Street depends on you!
How can Joe have possibly met "the man" when he is the man?
ummm...oh yeah, 100% SOLID
So there it is. It's all out on the plate. A big ol' slab of M.E.A.T. Jam Cruise. Eat it up you know you want it. You know the fans want it. You know the band wants it.
Give 'em the M.E.A.T. Julie. You know you want to.
That's right, it's badkitty approved
McTuff Earns a Turn on Jam Cruise 9, 2011
Putting the fun back in functional
Trust me on this one, you really, really, really want this guy in your jam room. He is 100% solid.
Did I mention that M.E.A.T.
is badkitty approved? Because it is. She is all about the M.E.A.T.
And come on let's face it, that is what really matters around here when it all shakes down.
A happy kitty makes for a happy boat. I wanna thank you for a real good time McTuff.
