One month, and we'll be starting our journey down to Fort Lauderdale. A slow little jaunt, stopping in Jacksonville to see JJ and Mofro, then a couple days of gearing up mentally and physically for the five days of the year that we spend 360 days preparing for.

See y'all soon!!!

Has anyone thought of swapping those numbers? I mean I could work my ass off a whole week for a year on the boat!

We should all chip in the next time the lottery gets to a couple hundred mil. Grab a ship, and off we go...

Ahoy!

It's been my dream to sail with friends on a tall ship (vintage wooden sailing ship) with tie-dyed sails and a band on deck. Freak out communities as we pull into harbour and offer a free concert. Gotta watch out for pirates, though...

JC is the closest I've come to finding this... yet.

JamCruise might not freak out communities as we pull into the harbor (there's usually no music playing then) but we sure do when we pull out! We hadn't pulled away from the dock yet in Ft. Lauderdale last year when Trombone Shorty got things started with the Sail Away Party on the pool deck. I loved looking over at the folks on the other cruise ships at port with "WTF is going on over there?!" looks on their faces.

It really is fun to stay aboard at ports and if you're not sleeping, check out the other cruise ships. At one port in Mexico, maybe Cozumel, a neighbor ship had a huge screen and was playing some movie. Then another time, and is the norm for most any port we go to, we were rocking out with a daytime set on the pool deck and the neighboring ships rails were lined with people trying to see what was going on our boat.
It was funnier when we were on the little boats and were docked next to these huge ships cause they could literally look down on us, not anymore folks, not anymore!

Couple of years ago, pulling out of Roatan, Franti was wailing...there was a big Carnival cruiser there, and all the passengers were standing onthe decks/balconies, wishing they were on "THAT BOAT."
