Working for the EPA on a town-wide superfund project to remove asbestos containing insulation materials from residential homes. There was a vermiculite mine here where they produced a large share of the worlds vermiculite supply. Unfortunately the vermiculite contains an abundant quantity of amphiboles (asbestos minerals) and asbestos causes cancer. So a removal contractor cleans out the attics and I provide oversight and clearance sampling services on the cleanups. The houses are then re-insulated with fiberglass and the homeowners can move back in.
