I'll be there. I think I'm doing the recording for the video.

I'm thinking Tiny Universe on Saturday night is just what the good Dr. ordered!

Sorry we didn't meet. I have never in my life seen Belly-Up that crowded. I mean it was insane. 2 days of Denson. With Anders Osborn and Slightly Stoopid. And a number of guest performances. They were on a Rolling Stones adventure both days. I'm usually skeptical to stones covers but these guys can do anything. Saturday ended with a brass orgy. 3 saxes, 3 horns, 14 people on a stage that is crowded when you put a 5-man band on it. Brass kicks ass! Wow. Talk about Jam Cruise on land! We don't get much around here but when we get shows like this we are more than well compensated for the lack of quantity. My next BUT endeavor is Funky Meters the 27th. SoCal people. let's try again then, maybe it's slightly less packed then.

Here's what I'm thinking for the month ahead (in and around San Diego, CA)...

3/13 - Anthology - Béla Fleck & The Flecktones

3/23&24 - BellyUp - Karl Denson's Tiny Universe Performs A Tribute to the Beastie Boys, featuring members of Slightly Stoopid and more.

3/27 - Winstons - Skerik's Bandalabra

3/28 - BellyUp - Galactic feat. Corey Glover of Living Colour and Corey Henry (Rebirth Brass Band) w/ The Soul Rebels

4/12 - BellyUp - Dark Star Orchestra Spring Tour West Continuing the Grateful Dead Concert Experience

So sorry you had to leave. The show was awesome. And those stoopid guys you couldn't tell them apart from the real beastie boys. Amazing versions of No Sleep and Funky Monkey. Back to it again tonight. You never go wrong with Karl!
