^This. I highly doubt that a VTTB will happen this year, when they have done it in the past it's usually announced in mid-summer and voting closes in like Sept/Oct - if memory serves. We would have heard something by now I think if they were going to do it again this year. Shrug.

There area already a LOT of bands on this year, I was playing around trying to fit 2sets for each into last year's schedule grid and there aren't enough slots for all the bands we have announced already

Well, you can't blame a girl for trying! I'll be on that stage soon enough, mark my words! :)

I'm suggesting McTuff trio.

Though I have not seen Beats Antique live, everything I have heard and seen of them on other mediums have been awesome.

Another band which I have come recently acquainted with is Primate Fiasco. Check them out.. they tore up Vibes!!!

i don't see a problem here other then adding more slots, more slots more music. more music makes me happy
i don't mean to put more bands against each other i mean streching the music longer through the night. that way we might be able to see some pool deck sunrise performances and maybe jam room and disco into the morning. i hope this won't be just a dream

I can see why there isn't a Vote The Boat every year. The concept is super fun. The reality is there's more losers then winners. Pitting fans against eachother is kinda buzzkill.

I think the reason people are flocking to this thread is to see what band other Cruzers are willing to stick their necks out for.

A new band getting on the Boat is as high an honor there is.

AM I RIGHT !

So the best time for Nominations is really well before the initial May announcement anyhoos. So let's just keep Nominating for JC11

Pffft. no vote to the boat this year.

Still about 50 cabins available for sale by my count. As far as not having enough time slots for 2 sets per band - perhaps more solar stage or piano bar sets? Maybe we are getting a beach set or two in our ports of call???

How do you know? Was there any official word from C9? Didn't it happen around this time last year?

No to all of those. They don't do it every year. As I said previously:

Ok, Serk. It was more drama than fun last year anyway so I didn't pay that close attention. Can't say I miss it.
