I'm ignorant how the program works, but why bother with cards and stuff that can get messed up?
Why don't you just give eligible cruisers credit for their next JC ticket purchase after you have
verified the referral? Seems a lot easier. I'm sure it's nice to get extra cash on board, but to me it
just seems like a lot of hassle when you could just give somebody $50 off when they pay for
the following JC ticket. This of course means that to get your reward you have to keep cruising.
Fine with me and probably in the best interest of C9 as well?
Just my 2c.

Come on - the referral reward was there and all he had to do was walk up there and get it. I do understand that the hours were not 24/7 but if it was that important then some effort should be made to get the referral $$$. I remember when referral rewards were ship credits and not cash.

That said - IMO this whole issue should have been done through private messages and emails rather than out in public like this. Cloud 9 has (and does) go above & beyond normal customer service to take care of their repeat offenders and those newbies to jamcruise so it is unfair to call them out over such a minor isolated issue.

First let me say that I picked up my 1st referral fee ever this year. Many people are on this boat because of me, but like Richie I want them on to enjoy it with me. I had no problem picking up my cash.

That being said, I hear from people every year how the referral didn't work out. Not just Dave. Oh, by the way, that is his name and he has been on and always will be on more Jam Cruises then yourself. It might be time to learn the name of one of C9's longest returning customers. When I hear about a referral not working out it seems like it's always the amount. If you are getting anymore then 1 you have a big chance of it not being correct. Hell, it could be the rules. A full cabin of virgins can be hard to come by. Maybe people don't understand it's by cabin and not by person. I don't know what it is. I just know this is the 2nd biggest complaint I hear evey year. 1st is the food, but we all know that.

Bob

def disagree with you on this.....pissing ruins the chili and we all know that would take more then one little bitch session.......come on now, he is just trying to get things to run better. maybe he will learn that you got to wait to get your card under the door to collect and maybe c9 will learn a different way to get the money to you instead of the "mail-in-rebate scam" that is going on. you should get your money no matter what, if you forget on the boat(which is easy to do) maybe it should be sent in the mail with a little surcharge taken out to pay the time of workers and shipping. there is ways to make this work and a little bitching does not hurt, think occupy.

This must relate to some offline conversation? I have re-read this thread four times and I can't find any reason/relevance for these statements. Someone forgot Dave's name? huh? does not compute. not sure who the "yourself" is either, as you didn't quote which post you're replying to.

As for "always will be" - I disagree with that too. Possible, maybe even probable, but you really never know what the future will bring.

...carry on

It's not about the $ at all. Nor would I put a post on the message board if I hadn't tried to work this out privately with C9.
I did go to C9 Central & attempt to pick up my referral when I picked up my "lifer" plaque. Doria said it wasn't ready.
Sorry I was too busy seeing music & enjoying myself to remember to go back. I never received a reminder as Michele said she gave me.
Yes I complained about this last year. That's because I didn't get my credits till May.
What I am upset about this year, is that this week when I called C9 & asked for them to send it to me, they told me that since I failed to pick it up on the Boat, than I forfeited my credits.
If anyone can tell me that is fair, than explain it to me.
I've only referred 20+ people & dropped 20K$ over the last 9 years. Again, it's not about the $ & I did try to pick it up. Is asking for a check mailed to me asking too much? I'll pay a service fee.
