VERY excited about some new collaborations I'm seeing that include some of my favorite musicians -> This is the stuff I love!! New & different collaborations w/musicians who TOTALLY effin' ROCK

Two in particular on my radar right now are Skerik's Banadalabra, and Robert Walter's Brand New Slang... both bands that I think would be a perfect match & great fit for JC 11.

Any others out there that you are aware of??

Skerik's Bandalabra: - West coast tour coming in March!!
Skerik -Sax, faces, antics
Dr. Andy Coe (jammiest cruiser!) - Guitar
D'Vonne Lewis (formerly of McTuff) - Drums
Evan Flory-Barnes - Stand-up bass

Robert Walter's Brand New Slang (aka are you effin' KIDDING me??! ;-) -> fingers crossed for a west coast tour soooooon!
ROBERT WALTER (Hammond B3 & Keys - Greyboy Allstars)
REED MATHIS (Bass, Vcls - Tea Leaf Green)
SERGIO RIOS (Guitar, Vcls - ORGONE)
SIMON LOTT (Drums - Charlie Hunter)
JOE COHEN (Saxes - Jazz Mafia)

Yeah Sparky! I think there is A LOT of potential in Skerik's Bandalabra.

Oh, Brand New Slang looks pretty sick too...

sorry, but... I still want M.E.A.T. on the menu -> Joe effin' Doria, duuuuuuude!!!

here's another collaboration I saw that got me excited enough to start checking out flights to the Bay Area... not sure if it's just this weekend of shows, but it sure looks good to me!!

March 1-3 Robert Walter, Eddie Roberts & Jermal Watson in San Francisco at the Filmore opening for the Funky Meters (and at the Boom Boom Room?)

Hmm, I'm sure it will be great. Just hoping Robert Walter isn't about to throw a monkey wrench in Orgone.

I went to the show last night and it was awesome. Much tighter than their shows back in August.

Eddie Roberts sat in on a song or two towards the end of the 2nd set. Felt like I was back on the boat for a little while.... would definitley be good to have them on board next year
