We had Some Cat From Japan - Hendrix tribute set - last year (JC9). Sorry you missed it Jim. That set was truly sublime 8)

i'd like to see something much more rare. but if that were to happen you couldn't just book a band you'd have to make one.

like a peter tosh cover set we've all probably seen bob marley cover bands or tons of bob covers but not too often do you see peter and hes just as good.

someone a little more under the radar but someone we can still all get into.

I was gonna say something like that - How about The Machine - they are a Pink Floyd cover band which blends in Grateful Dead type jams and bleeds one song into another like the Dead would do. It's almost like what the Grateful Dead would sound like covering Pink Floyd. Pretty cool shiat.
