I brought my acoustic bass, and jammed with some amazing musicians! (late night last night with Nathan Moore and Brad Barr outside jam room), (1am Dead covers with Joe and Bruce in the piano atruim)
Maybe next year we can organize some early morning pool deck jams or even JC 9 we jammed in the jam room right on the stage while hangin with Mickey hart!(with Loretta, and Kirsten)
I think we can organize something.....

It so Awesome to DANCE n then JAM!!! (or visa versa)

EH?

I would love it if someone taped the Dead covers in the Piano Atruim..never got to see any footage (seen lots of cameras though) JC9 and JC10

I try every year to get passenger jams going with varied success. It's a big boat with few jam friendly places.
The spot is awesome, but I don't want it to get too infiltrated with us passsengers. This year I didn't
play a single tune at the spot because I was a little run down, but I absolutely enjoyed just listening.
Usually when we get closer I post a thread to feel out the interest for passenger jams. I haven't quite
found the best way to organize it yet, so in all honesty it has been a little haphazard. But I intend
to keep trying until perfection has been achieved!

Then they must have gathered there just for you and then quickly scurried away when you left.
Next year we're going to organize shit, dangit!

There's a lot of noise right now from that farm! :D
No seriously there was some stuff going on. I saw a guy playing piano and a woman singing old jazz standards in the atrium once when I walked by, they were quite good. Not really a jam but still. And then of course we had the spot. Good times. But I can always wish for more, can't I?

I don't think it needs to be an organized thing (but I don't play anything more musical than an iPod) as it is the spontaneity that makes it somewhat special. Go with the flow and it will all be good.

I don't even bring an iPod on jamcruise - what would be the point?

I bring the laptop with me, plug it in as soon as I get into the cabin and leave itunes on random all week. It's nice to come into the cabin and have some music ready to go. An ipod would be sufficient for sleepytime to drown out the muffled sounds of the jam room...you know, when you're in the ghetto it can be a bit loud, but not clear enough to be enjoyable.
