So, it's been brought up that a featured night/period of time in the Jam Room should have a showcase for electronic/synthesized instruments/music. And, not to discriminate, I would imagine that no instruments would be barred. Rather it would be directed toward a new horizon of improvisational art form, away from traditional songs and chord progressions. Sounds awful, right??

doesn't sound like something I would be enthralled about.
I would like to see the jamroom lead split 12 to 3 and 3 to 6 so the room stays fresh and doesn't stay in the same vibe all night

I don't know but i would think that most electronic music would be a bit more of a logistical challenge to set up than traditional Jam Room plug and play?

it's really more of a style shift than an instrument change. the common ground for most of the musicians on the boat is funk... so that's where the music tends to go... but if deitch started dropping some dnb in the jamroom, i think the other musicians would keep up and make some awesome and interesting music. it's just out of the comfort zone for many... artists and audience alike. i think people are reluctant to push the jamroom in such a specific direction.
