Hope you're doing exceptionally well and that you had an excellent weekend and Thanksgiving! My Thanksgiving on Long Island was a blast! Real nice visiting all my relatives and I went to the Giants/Packers game (the biggest Giants rout in about 65 games I've been to). The Giants also stomped the Saints yesterday and a fabulous Prince tribute band, Formerly Known As, was ... well ... fabulous at the Black Tangerine in Reno on Saturday! They're playing for free at CommRow on 12/29, so I hope to see a helluva lot of friends there!

* DRAGON SMOKE/JELLY BREAD opens on 12/16. Dragon Smoke is Stanton Moore and Robert Mercurio, Galactic's drummer and bassist; Ivan Neville, Dumpstaphunk's keyboardist/organist; and Eric Lindell, guitar Dragon Smoke virtually never tours, so this may be your only chance to see them around here!
* VINYL and THE BUMPTET afterparty on 12/21
* NAIVE MELODIES, a superb Talking Heads tribute band (keys/bass keys/vocals, drums & a wailing guitarist) that jams for 8-10 minutes on every tune! Their South Lake show a few months ago was one of the best 5 or so shows of the 101 shows I've seen this year!
