the problem is this. When you create a poll, you only get the following fields to fill in:Poll question: Poll options:
Place each option on a new line. You may enter up to 10 options.
If you remove or add options all previous votes will be reset.Options per user:
This is the number of options each user may select when voting. Run poll for:
The question about allowing a user to change response never comes up when you create a poll.
This is a configuration setting just like the ability to erase a post you have made.
As far as phpBB is concerned, I agree it is a feature request because their SW works
according to spec with default settings that IMHO is utterly stupid but still according to spec.
Actually the inability to remove a post is not the default, that is something C9 IT has done
on their own.
The bug report in my mind is directed at C9 IT. The configurations are not suitable for
efficient use of the Forum. Maybe it's a CR rather than a bug. Ok, I'll give you that.
The great thing with software is that it actually is possible to fix stupid!
