We need them back on the boat next year. They exemplify JamCruise. I see them leading a parade thru the boat, flying their freak flag high, all the way up to the pool deck, or maybe just thru the buffet and then out into into the pool deck, and then they kick off the sail away party. But either way, they need to be back on the boat. Julie, don't make us start another G-LOTS style campaign.

That would be a great kickoff to JC12. Make sure to put them on your survey!!

weren't there like 5 people at that set? (+ or - some exaggeration). Not saying it wasn't awesome, I just heard that we missed out and came late for that one. :P March 4th was over the top on a packed pool deck. =)

Funny you said that august, after i wrote it i thought about it for a while and remebered that lotus did ace the ship on their first try.

Next year i'm going to get a flesh colored body suit and a picture of your face, then i'm going streaking on the pooldeck.august style!

Yeah, man. I haven't "studied" them yet, per se, but I liked how they balanced the marching band thing with the right amount of weirdness. It wasn't your standard Rebirthish brass band music. They play a myriad of styles fairly well. And some of them had chops. The trombonist, the bari and tenor were pretty good too. They were kind of sloppy at times, but I can overlook that because they play with emotion. I would SO MUCH rather that than bands who hit all the notes at the right times but have no flava. It's kind of like the Ornette philosophy to music (not comparing them to Ornette Coleman, just the general philosophy of playing with emotion, to be clear). Also, I really appreciate the effort they put into their shows. It seems like they give everything they got, and I respect that. That coupled with their stage presence...on point imnsho.

I grabbed tickets today for their 10th Anniversary show on 3/4 at the Crystal Ballroom. Should be a throw down.

I agree with Andre. What has always appealed to me about my my favorite musicians is their involvement with our community and the energy that they bring. I wouldn't love my favorite bands as much as I do if they were not spectacular people as well as amazing artists. M4MB is an amazing group. They are amazing people, they are amazing artists, they are amazing musicians. I fully support any band that tries so hard to make people smile. First year on the boat and they were out at our charity event for LAPL. They launched a flash mob. They danced next to you all when they were not on stage. They had as much fun as we did. That is someone that deserves to come back. Some folks are comparing them to Lotus but I compare them to NMS. These folks truly belong. :)
