MSC Divina Deck Plan
Go to the deck plans on the right side of the page. There are some photos over public spaces.

There is no zebra bar anymore. :(
The black and white lounge in the aft of deck 7 is the closest we'll get. Maybe we can keep some jungle theme going? My guess is that this will be the new jam room.

The cyber cafe at deck 5 looks like it came right out of Star Trek.

Huge ship but less space? Look how crammed the balcony is on the picture of cabin 13222 at the aft of deck 13!

Top Sail Lounge and the Garden Pool Zen Area on deck 15 and La Sirene covered pool on 14 look like great hangout places.
Actually the whole aft overbulding has a lot of new cool places. Some of them look like they might be jam friendly but it's hard to tell.

Overall this ship has a lot more spaces to explore and get lost in. I think the theater and jam room will work just like they always have. There is a piano atrium as well. The pool deck stage will probably have to look different. There are plenty of options for small stages spread out around the ship.

I also see that there are areas on the top deck that is for VIP and MSC Yaght Club members only. Hopefully they don't pull that BS on us, but you never know.

The biggest question of them all is of course: where is deck 17, why is it hidden and what the heck goes on there?

MSC Divina OpenGL virtual tour
Click on the menu button middle right to do 360 in different areas.
Put on some cruise music and dream about JC12!

The pool stage will be tricky.
This is how the pool deck looks:
Image

It has to be built towards the front because in the back there are multilevel pools and play areas.
I don't know if the "stone walls" can be removed so that the pool can get decked over. Same with the fake palm trees and other stuff. I'm also worried about the wind. On the Poesia, even though it's a smaller ship, there are three decks of structure rising up in front of and above the pool deck that acts as a wind shield (and where the big tripscreen is put up). Also there is more wind protection on the sides on the Poesia. If the stage and dance area has to be built up to fit and we're doing some 20 knots you will definitely feel the draft. It may even be hard to keep the stage standing up safely.

looks like Gaudi had a hand in the design, I like all the curves. But yeah, this could be very interesting!

This is going to take me some getting used to. I'm digging the aft lounge as I can see the Jam Room fitting nicely in there. The Jazz Bar is no zebra bar but I can definitely see a lot of unicorns and rainbows running around in there.
The theater and the pool deck are a bit over the top for this cruiser. By all means beautiful but really?? The progression of the MSC ships made the luxury of the Poesia easier to take but this one seems like a much bigger leap. It's been 10 yrs, time to go BIG! Very interested in seeing how they're going to pull off the pool deck.

Yeah, the pool deck is definitely cool if you're just hanging on a cruise ship, but appears to be missing a good space for a large crowd to gather and view a large stage. Theater looks awesome. Location for the third main venue is a big question. I can't really tell for sure, but besides that aft lounge there doesn't seem to be another large space for a crowd and stage in any of the bar areas.

There is talk of making a pool space for the artists only and I can see the VIP area or the Zen pool for that.

really? they don't want to get in the same water as the rest of us? Part of what makes JC so awesome is the artists aren't holed up backstage somewhere. I think it would suck if we start heading down that path.

I would assume more for the wives and kids like they had a Holidaze than the artists separating themselves.

Oh that's fine, I don't want to harass the wives and kids, just the artists. ;)

The Artist-only area did not exist this year at holidaze.Honestly i think most of the artists would prefer not to be locked away from everyone else.At holidaze this year the artists were just as into raging as the rest of the patrons.

Is this what yall are thinkin?

Deck 5 - Atrium Piano
Deck 5 - 7 - Theater (bow)
Deck 7 - Black and White Lounge = Jam Room (aft)
Deck 14 - Pool Deck (don't know how they are gonna set that up...maybe they could remove some of the divider wall things and rotate the stage 90 deg and have it parallel with the pool?)
Deck 15 - Top Sail Lounge = What used to be Zebra (bow)
Deck 16 - Galaxy = Disco (aft)
Deck 18 - Solar Stage? Outside Disco? Nothing Area? (bow) Outside disco would be dope.

That's the way it was on JC1&2 and my understanding is that it was a bit whack for the artists to be rocking backwards and forwards as opposed to right and left. Of course, I could be way wrong on that, I wasn't there. :(
