That being said, what bands don't work without more players?
The Word - I could see them doing it without Chris but not without John.
The Allman Brothers - Too many players missing. Greg, Derek, Warren..... Also they would cost 100 of thousands to book.
Phish - We only have one and they cost way too much.
DB - missing 2 of them, correct?
Meter Men - 3 missing?
The Meters or Funky Meters - Even if you sub in Ivan and Ian we are still short a drummer.
7 Walkers - We only have one?"
Warren Haynes Band. You've got Ron Johnson, Nigel and Alecia already on board. Just need a drummer." And Warren!
Thievery Corporation with the full live band - I don't know who all is in the band, but I think it's a big band. A lot of people not on the boat.
Derek Trucks Band - All we have is KofiMule - we have none of them
M4 is already booked on the boat and the show is on the island not Falmouth
The Bear Creek All-Stars - We don't have them all and I would have heard something about it.
ARU - No Jimmy or Jeff.
Please correct me on any of the above if I am wrong. The band that can be made and is standing more then any other is Fantastic 4. They have been asked for, George is in the band, and I would say it would be a headliner. I agree with this guess.George is a safe bet anywhat you look at it. Do we have all the members of any of his other bands? Bob
The lineup for the All-Stars a few days ago, at least on the bill was:
George Porter Jr.
The Shady Horns.
The year before that during Jazzfest it was:
George Porter Jr
We have everyone of these people with the exception of Higgins, if I'm not mistaken. Ivan, Ian and Nikki are only playing one set on the boat with Dumstaphunk. Anyway, just a thought. Would be pretty incredible.
Sorry August, not sure why it quoted you and not Bob.
