Looks like the ride is 30-50 minutes depending on traffic and cost is anywhere 20-50 per person.

Flights are cheaper to FLL and I sure do love the locals!

Funny-We've always found the flight to be cheaper into MIA. Haven't check yet for this year.

I'll be in the Ft L area for several days (weeks?) before JC . Would love to share a ride to Miami with whoever is heading down from there.

yes.

With the flights currently costing around double to fly into Miami, we are also considering flying into FLL and then shuttling to Miami. Our preferred airline doesnt do Miami either.

Paying 35 each way on a shuttle will still be a significant savings.

Yes , I am thinking about it. I cant find a flight that arrives at a reasonable time in Miami. I can into FLL.

If enough people are interested in doing this, we've offered to charter a whole bus for the ride to Miami (between $8-10 per person)

Different thread ... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14869

Very interested in this. The bus or a ride-share. JamCruise virgin here, can't wait!

We land at FLL at 10:40PM on the 3rd. No problem with staying there the night and sharing a ride the following morning, PM me!

Ryan, I have to say... I like your style. We can follow Skerik together.

Hell yeah Hillary, that's the plan! Inspired by the "Just Follow George (Porter Jr.)" mantra at Jazzfest, which is another fool-proof plan when in doubt.

Does anyone have the shuttle contact info?? Would love to stay at our beloved Bahia Cabana, but want to make sure the logistics are covered before I commit to an airport and hotel.

Thanks and much love!!! :)

There are many, these are the ones I'm aware of:

Tri-Rail (public transportation): http://www.tri-rail.com/airport-connections/
Quality Limo (private): http://www.qualitylimoservice.com/default.aspx?pageid=1
SAS (private): http://www.ridesas.com/html/reservations.html

I believe it's an hour drive between the two, FYI.

Good luck!

1. Can anyone comment on past experiences with specific shuttle/limo/bus services from FLL to Miami and back? Ive identified a bunch of van and shuttle companies that claim to provide service. Some of their websites seem somewhat sketchy. A couple companies refuse to go to Miami hotels. We are flying in the day before so im not so worried about that. But definitely be building stress while heading back to FLL.

2. If it all comes apart, will cabbies be willing to go that far? Internet is suggesting 70-80$ each way (maybe totaling $100 per trip to pay off a complaining cabbie). Between two people thats not so bad. $100 round trip per person. I dunno.

I know its only October. Trying to take care of stuff early for once.
