You don't have to do 15 but I got carried away and just couldn't leave some out. There are still some I would like to mention but I had to stop somewhere....

1. Funky Meters - Theater - JC 11 (The Meters are my fav band and this was one of the best shows I've ever seen. On the boat or off the boat...)
2. Motet Talking Heads - Pool Deck - JC 8
3. Galactic - Theater - JC 7 (Wolfman blew my mind...)
4. Karl D (Sticky Fingers) - Pool Deck - JC 10
5. Keller and the WMD's - Pool Deck - JC 7
6. Robert Walter Super Jam - Pool Deck - JC 7
7. Stockholm Syndrome - Theater - JC 9
8. Galactic - Pool Deck - JC 10
9. Anders Osbourne - Theater - JC 9
10. Trombone Shorty - Pool Deck - JC 10 (2 of my good friends got engaged shortly after this show)
11. Yacht Rock - Pool Deck - JC 7 (was a little sloppy, I'm just a sucker for that type of music. I think they should do this every year...)
12. Michael Franti - Theater - JC 7 (my good friend Mudd of Turtle Soup got to sit in both Franti shows that year)
13. Lettuce - Pool Deck - JC 11
14. JoJo's Mardi Gras Band - Pool Deck - JC 9
15. The Word - Pool Deck - JC 8

I left out Bob Weir intentionally bc thats just a given...

Shit I knew I would forget something. Les Claypool in the the theater from JC 7 has to be in the top 5. It was the first night of my first JC and that's when it really set in that this whole thing was real...

Since actually looking at list of all the acts from the previous 5 cruises instead of going from my unreliable memory I'm revising my original list and expanding it to 20...

1. Funky Meters - Theater - JC 11 (The Meters are my fav band and this was one of the best shows I've ever seen. On the boat or off the boat...)
2. Motet Talking Heads - Pool Deck - JC 8 (considering the Talking Heads are my 2nd fav band behind the Meters. Loved every second of their rendition)
3. Galactic - Theater - JC 7 (Wolfman blew my mind...)
4. Karl D (Sticky Fingers) - Pool Deck - JC 10
5. Keller and the WMD's - Pool Deck - JC 7 (Eyes of the World still gives me chill bumps. Not a huge fan of Keller but this ensemble was amazing)
6. Robert Walter Super Jam - Pool Deck - JC 7 (Livin' for the City...)
7. 7 Walkers - Pool Deck - JC 10
8. Anders Osbourne - Theater - JC 9
9. Stockholm Syndrome - Theater - JC 9 (huge fan of this band and consider it one of the best Stockholm shows I've ever seen. Finally some rock and roll on the boat at 4am...)
10. Les Claypool - Theater - JC 7 (First night of my first JC and thats when it really set in that this whole thing was real...)
11. Maceo Parker - Theater - JC 8
12. Trombone Shorty - Pool Deck - JC 10 (2 of my good friends got engaged shortly after this show)
13. Rhythm Devils - Pool Deck - JC 9
14. Michael Franti - Theater - JC 7 (my good friend Mudd of Turtle Soup got to sit in both Franti shows that year)
15. ZOOGMA - Zebra Bar - JC 11 (Can't believe I forgot my good hometown friend Brock Bowling's band in my original list. Ghostbusters with Brock Butler was killer...)
16. JoJo's Mardi Gras Band - JC 9 (Shaky Ground w/ Taylor Hicks actually shook the ground)
17. Dragon Smoke - Zebra Bar - JC 8
18. Greyboy All Stars - Theater - JC 9
19. Mike Dillon's Go Go Jungle - Zebra Bar - JC 8
20. Steel Pulse - Pool Deck - JC 11 (My fav cover of Franklin's Tower I've ever heard live)

I left out Bob Weir intentionally bc that's a given...

I gotta have an honorable mention list. JC is just too good...

-Leftover Salmon - Pool Deck - JC 7 (probably would have made the top 20 but only caught the 2nd half bc I was having my mind blown by Galactic in the theater)
-Tea Leaf Green - Zebra Bar - JC 7 (I had seen them before, but wasn't a big fan until this show. Also killed it on the pool deck that year and I was instantly hooked)
-Zappa Plays Zappa - Theater - JC 8
-I'm sure I would have the Fantastic 4 from JC 8 on here but slept through it. Only show I've ever missed bc of sleep. Layed down and woke up 3 hours later. The only regret I've ever had on JC was laying down on the couch that day
-Some Cat From Japan (Jimi) - Pool Deck - JC 9
-Garage A Trois - Theater - JC 9
-Umphrey's McGee - Pool Deck - JC 10
-Dirty Dozen Brass Band - Zebra Bar - JC 10 (Whiskey...and bad cocaine!!!)
-Kimock w/ Bernie, Wally and Hess - Theater - JC 11
-Walter, Roberts & Deitch - Zebra Bar - JC 11
-Motet Funk is Dead - Pool Deck - JC 11 (would have made the top 20 if not for the Talking Heads show from JC 8. Didn't want any repeat bands. If so, Galactic may have made the list 5 times...)

Kimock w/ Bernie, Wally and Hess in the theatre on JC 11 is my #1 without a doubt. Not just on JC but for any show anywhere. Glad it finally made your list 8) 8)

ARU on JC3 was pretty incredible. The NOLA to NY workshop was completely off the hook, i cant remember which year that was. As was the jazz jam karl d hosted with oteil, mike D, robert walter and stanton moore. THe jamroom on jc6 with kras and kimock with ditch and staten on percussion and a huge horn section was so funky. Grant green jr. doing milestones in the jamrrom with fishman and garret. galactic with wolfman. Jamiroquai set by the Motet. Sounds of san francisco. kdtu having zach from sts9 sit in then fishmen on jc3. so many moments

Grant Green Jr. and Col. Bruce is still the reigning champion. Umphrey's Mgee in the fog at the end of jc 3 is a close second.

LHF.. there was a certain Garage a Trois set that almost moved you to tears.... are you gonna put that as your third? JC7

DB jc5 was awesome The fan four set from that year was awesome.

Grant Green/col Bruce also in our top memories. Magic Gravy that same year.

Critters buggin Jc4 late night was ridiculous.
NMS on jc5.. played right before it turned into the jam room so a ton of musicians ended up on stage
Lotus pool deck jc6
