I just want to step away from the music for a second and let you know how excited I am for the late night food on this boat. Taco night. Indian night. NOLA night. Comfort food night. I am a very happy lady. Thanks C9!!

me too!! I really enjoyed the tacos last year. They should put the days/times of the different chefs on the schedule they give us on the boat so we can remember to go eat some awesome food

Thank you C9! So happy you listened and got actual American chefs on the boat! I can actually eat something other than pizza, fries, and arugula.

This has the potential to be one of the biggest improvements to Jamcruise since we moved to MSC.

Fingers crossed it turns out as good as it sounds in the announcement.

She was named is Pestilence Pony moments after I acquired her during Jazzfest.

Not for the disease but for the lesser known definition of:

An evil influence or idea that is hard to get rid of.

i.e. "I didn't intend to stay out all night and end up at Igor's for Bloody Mary breakfast again, but Pestilence made me do it."

These damn ponies are really bad influences on us all......

as for the food thing, I first encountered and eventually befriended Ritchie years and years ago on this forum when he asked to be a guest chef on the boat because surely he could come up with food that was edible. I told him that never in a million years would that happen. Well... I eat my words.

It may not be Ritchie catering our late nights but 8 years later, cloud 9 has finally figured out a way to wrestle control of the kitchen and give it to some folks that we KNOW will do a better job. Bring on the Crawfish boil!!!! I am stoked.

I'm thankful for our friendship! It's proof that a good friendship can start anyway, anytime & anyplace!

I love me some jam cruise & i think to myself a lot,,how can it be even better,,,I am truly happy to see 2 of my ideas come to life on the boat,,,,,the 1 color theme night is just awesome! To see people who don't do the "costume" thing, do it, is great. to see the boat transform into the color of the night, as the day grows later more and more the of the color takes over, is just a sight to see!

And to finally see a "GUEST CHEF" put into place,,,well our bellies will now enjoy some of joy that our ears have. I dream someday that I'll get to share my 1st art love FOOD {the only art form that uses all 5 senses] with ya'll!

MUCH LOVE,,,gonna be the best boat yet!!

{working supa-hard catering on a movie set,,,,my hours are like this;
-12pm-1pm breakdown food
-1pm-2pm shop 4 food {don't have a fridge big enuff so i gotta shop everyday
-2pm-3pm do dishes/clean kitchen
-4pm-5pm start basic prep for nites meal
-6pm-7pm NAP
-7pm-10pm prep/cook
-10pm-12am NAP
-12am-2am set up food on set
-2am-4am NAP
-4am-7am set up food on set round 2
-7am-11am NAP
-11am-noon shower

i NEVER worked so hard on something,,,everytime the alarm goes off,,well 95% of the time i think to myself,,,,doing this for JAMCRUISE!

Looks like good prep for your jamcruise schedule too. Of course, with fewer naps...

I really hope I can get it together to take advantage of the late night taco cart. Delicious!

ooo, I like that!!

I wonder if they'll tell us what food is what night in the little daily news brief or if we'll play food roulette. It will be good to eat non-pizza regardless.
