Along the lines of what germ bag hillary does I take emergnc everyday 1 week before cruise and take sanitizer and anti bacterial soap. Emergenc each day while on boat and no buffet food or as little as possible. It has worked every cruise since about 5 in a row.

just seen on CNN,, a ship had 300 cruisers go to sickbay,,,,that has never happened on jamcruise,,,,so the "sickness" some get is not the sickness that is seen on other ships, where they call it a "breakout"

100 and 300 are very different numbers. And that year there were massive flu outbreaks everywhere in the country at the time that we boarded. I'm sure lots of people were still incubating it when they got on and didn't even know they were sick yet. Remember, we all get in airplanes with other (sick) people before we even get to the boat. I think those airplane rides and the following incubation period are what cause some people to fall ill during the cruise. They give it to others before they even know they are sick and those people incubate and then get sick right after the boat.

That RC ship turned out to be ~600 sick not 300, and personally I think it's the number of CREW that got sick that made them end the cruise early. The crew never seems to come down with JamFlu on our ship... shocking right? ;)

Reuters/Chicago Tribune wrote:
Altogether, 595 passengers and 50 crew members fell ill aboard the ship, CDC spokeswoman Bernadette Burden said. The ship was carrying 3,050 passengers and a crew of 1,165.

Well they probably don't get the JamFlu, but realistically, we would probably never be aware that there were any sick crew members. I imagine they have pretty strict procedures for isolating sick crew. Sick jamcruisers on the other hand roam the ship freely sharing their plague, passing it to their left, sipping on your drink, high-fiving and hugging it on down the line...

I think this is also very valid.
