The last Jam Cruise newsletter made the announcement that Drowning Creek will be doing a poster for the cruise - actually, for both of them. We're already working on it... we're trying to make it suitable for signing at the meet and greet. the newsletter put our web address as www.drowningcreekstudios.com, but that won't get to us...
  www.drowningcreek.com will.

hey guys - i am so happy for you & i thought this subject deserved its own post. esp. since they got your web address wrong.

also, i'm just wondering...how will you capture so much musical talent on one poster???? nice problem to have.

Gen, we have an idea we've been developing for a few months. Hopefully will have a draft soon.... but that's gonna be top secret....

i just realized that y'all did the sci poster for the fox.
i collect posters and that is the nicest one i have seen in a long long time... i put it above my camden pollock as being the greatest score of this year.
now i can't wait to see what you come up with for jam cruise

Hi evenstar,

yup, that was us.... that one was a fun one to do! We've gotten to work with some very cool folks this year including the SCI folks, the Phish Dry Goods folk, and lots more. Just finished up 3 Yonder Mountain posters for fall tour, with one more coming for the Athens show.

Above the Camden Pollock? Wow!! I'll take that as a HUGE compliment!!

If you're in Atlanta, you should drive up some time... we're in Commerce an hour north on I-85.

regarding the pollock, i dont like his new press as much as i liked the handprints. they look and feel so much more mass market.

the sci fox is beautiful art pure and simple. you did good :)

now about the stuff you did for drygoods....... is it pending? nothing exciting has come along on that site in awhile, or i totally missed it :)

:D Not pending.... Jeff designed and printed Trey's Spring Tour poster.... I think the only place to find them now is on eBay.

Pollock got a press? We have to use a semi-auto press.... both of us have blown wrists from years of handprinting. Takes a toll on ya after a while.

I hope we get to work with the Phish folks again.... they're supanice.

i used the wrong word on that last post apparently. i dont speak art.
jim *used* to handprint his posters. the "astron" I have has blue fingerprints on the border and on the back which i love, because i know someone made it.

he now has hired a company to print his phish stuff and they are most def. machine made. the quality of the hampton run/camden for 2003 is very different from his older pieces. and consequently, i am appreciating pieces from "lesser known" artists much more.
