Post subject: How fast for sell out (in your opinions)?
PostPosted: Thu May 08, 2003 10:41 am
Man, with only 800 seats, I can't see it taking long. I hope it's in my price bracket

I hope I can afford it. A sellout could take only a matter of a couple weeks depending on price.

However, if this is too expensive, I'm going cruisin with moe.

if there's really only 800 tickets available, i bet it will sell out almost immediately...

unless it's absurdly expensive?

this thing will sell out fast with over 10 bands and less than 800 people. I have heard the same thing about the price ranging from $500 - $1,100 depending on how pimpin you want your cabin to be

Gee, I think my mom could have picked that price range and she doesn't even like jambands.

Seriously, could that range be any more vague? Any cruise ship would just about fall in that range for a 4 day cruise.

Quit guessing and wait...the info will be up at some point today (at least we hope). They never made promises on when...

this thing will happen. I don't know why you would think that there's any chance of it not happening. the team putting it on is jomo entertainment, brown coffee productions, and the guy that does the legendary blues cruise. that's about as reliable as it gets. the only thing that is going to keep this from happening is a SARS breakout

The most reliable production team is SuperFly, but that is neither here nor there anyway. The reason I say it will never happen is insurance. Imagine, Particle on stage at 5 am with a bunch of spun out kiddies trying to play leonardo dicaprio on the bow. How long till someone falls overboard. No insurance company will take on this risk except at a cost so prohibitive that it will make the event unprofitible.

AH, yes, but you must remeber everyone gets trashed on a boat anyway. Cruise ships are notorius for crazy shit happening. There's always some dumbass wanting to be Leo.
