It sounds like you all had the best time!
I love KDTU.
Would you all share your stories about the band and the shows?
Did any of you get to spend time with those great guys?
They are the nicest group.

Seemed like everybody did a good job of respecting the fact that they were on vacation too, so i dunno. But i couldn't help but laugh when Karl asked my girlfriend to explain the Doppler Effect to his kids (so cute) as particle was setting up inside.

My highlight was Karl speaking to the crowd before Groove On - wise words - he is SO funny. Frankeinstein during the daytime set was sweet and John Staton's drum solo at the begining of the evening set was smokin, baby, smokin. Ya'll come back now, ya hear.

For the tired souls who braved the 8:45am snorkeling call, my hat's off to you. Karl even gave us props " I'm proud of you jamband folk, I never thought you would get up for this" KD. Besides singing "Kia" with Karl, the highlight was looking for stingrays w/ his children. The most amazing time ever...

KDs bass player definately had the hots for my fiancee... super nice guy though... and I don't blame him for it! as long as he keeps droppin' that fat funky stuff!!!! (he just better watch out if I ever meet his girlfriend/wife... could be a real party then!!! ;-))

(or maybe I just had way too much funny punch on the boat? ) 8)

I too was on that 8:00am snorkling trip along with Karl Denson, SOme dirty dozen and that kickass drummer Richard from Tishamingo, and Fuller too! It was tough to wake up, but probably one of my favorite memories was on that party boat after we got done snorkling and they started selling beer. They only had one cd so someone popped in WSP and cranked it up as loud as they could on the boats speakers! The song Pleas has a new memory for me after cruisin so fast on the top deck of that little tourboat watchin everybody trying to dance and drink their Kalik's while the boat almost made everyone lose their stomachs! There was even this oriental family unaffiliated with Jamcruise dancing too! What a time. Glad their were no SHARKS!! 8)
