soooooo excited for this lineup! can't wait to see round 2!

I really could care less about a round 2. I couldn't have cared less for the rest of the lineup when I heard that New Mastersounds, PBS, and Lettuce were confirmed on Saturday night at the HABMX show at Len Bon Temps.

I am only kidding, obviously, but that's just how excited I am for these 3. The rest of them are great too. This lineup is right up there with JC 5 and we haven't even seen any additions yet. The only one that we're missing is Robert Walter. I'm fine with anyone else!!!!

Great lineup. But where is Steve Kimock? I agree with Daev, Kimock is the King of the Jam Room. Can't have a Jam Cruise with out Steve.

I'd rather have the two bands you could book for hte same jingle as it would cost to get kimock...unless he is coming with Mickey Hart and then all bets are off.

At times last yaer I got the impression that he was the self-appointed king of the jam room. He's great, but I think he needed to step back to give other musicians a chance sometimes. Variety = good.

I agree...as much as I enjoy his jams, Kimock is awfuly head strong. He's got quite the rep for dat! I suppose you have to have a big head to handle serious chops. Oh wait, but then you have the other artists, who manage to keep composed and rock hard...let's showcase them. The boat is about peeps that both rock hard and chill out! 8)

Kimock puts the JAM in Jam Cruise for me

really really REALLY hoping he gets added with the Mickey Band

I know some folks thought he dominated the jam room too much last year, but.... the 2 nights he wasn't in there the jam room was pretty much a bust.... non-existant the first night, and shut down waaaay early on the 2nd night -> BRING BACK STEVE!!!

steve was there the first night, nobody wanted to jam there after the bruce and grant show with him.

i never got the feeling he dominated too much actually, but i did think that the jamroom wasn't nearly as varied in terms of styles being played in there than the year before. but maybe that was just by chance, it's not like i was in there all the time. more than during my first cruise though.

Yeah, I know that Les and Walter have played together before. I've got a killer show billed as "Spur of the Moment" from 2001 that they were both part of. Excellent improvisational jams in that show. I'm also aware that Les never shows up in the Jam Room and rarely sits in with anybody on Jam Cruise. This will in no way prevent us from seeing some of the best jam room sessions ever though.

.................les just wont be a part of it.
he is too big an ego, i mean rock star to participate.

reason why I don't get too thrilled over les, warren or keller ever being on our ship. if they are not willing to play nicely with others... why put them on our ship.
