When looking at the ships deck plan's there are various symbols that corespond to certain rooms, 2 uppers :?: 1 upper :?: what do they mean? here are the different options for the Upper Deck:

2 Uppers ( 2 small dots)
1 Upper ( 1 big dot)
Twin Bed/King and Double Convertible Sofa ( a cross symbol)
Stateroom with 2 Porthole Windows (diamond)
Unisex Wheelchair Accessible Restroom ( open square) I get this one)

also,

What does the "4A, 4B, 4C and 4D." mean below?
Interior Includes interior stateroom categories 4A, 4B, 4C and 4D.

I want a 2 person room, on the upper level. How would those symbols look.

thanks for clearing this up, hope I am not asking stupid questions

Looks to me like all the rooms are on the lower half of the boat (or the picture of the boat) except for the suites. Maybe thats another thing that should be clarified.

All the cabins with the exception of category 1A will have two lower beds that can convert to a king. Some cabins also have one or two upper berths in addition to the two lowers, to accommodate triple or quad occupancy. The cabins that can accommodate three or four guests will have one or two dots on the deck plan.
Category 1A has one upper berth and one lower berth. Inside cabins are all category 4, and ocean view cabins are all category 6. Ocean view cabins with a porthole instead of a picture window are category 5A, and are located forward on Rivera, Main, & Upper Decks. The letter after the number will indicate which deck the cabins are on. Rivera Deck is A, Main Deck is B, Upper Deck is C, and Empress Deck is D. All the inside and ocean view cabins are the same size, 185 square feet, the only difference is the deck.
Category 12 suites are larger and have a balcony. They are all located on Verandah Deck.

Do any of the rooms have double beds, or do couples have to push two beds together...not the best for "snuggling" I have to say

There are no double beds onboard. The cabin stewards can push the two twin beds together, and lock the frames to convert to a king bed. It actually is not too bad for sleeping or snuggling.
