Cool Chicago based band that opened for G Clinton and p-funk last night. Opened for Derek Trucks band a few times also. Got into a short chat with the band manager and when I mentioned JamCruise, the guys eyes lit up like a Christmas tree! Suddenly he is giving me his card and asking how to get in touch with anyone in booking. I then had to explain that I was completely new to the scene but I would post a link on this forum.

Wow! Caught these guys in Lawrence last night with a crowd of 10 people! The show was poorly advertised and Yonder was playing around the corner. I don't think many at K.U. know who the Lub is, but they totally missed an incredible show. These guys play for 10 people as if it was a packed stadium! It was just like having them in my living room! They opened for Karl Denson's tiny universe about a week ago and would love to be invited to JamCruise. High energy band!

Great candidate for JC9!

I've discovered alot of bands over the past year ... mostly because of JC and the folks on this forum. I stumbled across Lubriphonic when they opened for G Clinton in K.C. They had some sound issues that night but I bought their debut album anyway. So far, Soul Solution is one of my favorite albums of the year. Great sound and cool, fun folks in the band. Here is a vid I took of the 10 people Lawrence Ks show ... keep in mind I get caught up in shows so I tend to suck at taking pics and vids ... but ...

Lubriphonic - Say Something Good
10/29/09 - The Bottleneck , Lawrence Ks

Good work, grv! I'll have a 4-5 camera advantage, of course, and I've a deal w/Comcast cable that basically anybody I shoot gets a 30-40 minute Concert TV On-demand segment, so hopefully we'll be able to get these guys the exposure they deserve. I was excited to see something about them on the JC board, as I had just begun corresponding with them three-or-four weeks ago and had yet to run into anyone who'd heard of them. Good find!

Lucky you to be in the windy city! I don't see that one on their schedule, but it seems they are picking some JC bands to hang out with. Colorado folks look to get good show in the spring. Opening up for Trombone Shorty and Maceo Parker on different dates in Breckenridge and Denver respectivly. They are on for Bear Creek this year too. Never been to that festi but from the reviews from other cruisers and the fact I love getting "Lubed", I think I am going to have to find a way to make BC and JC this year! Post back with a review from the Bonerama show!

Groovy
