Zebra night in the Zebra lounge was a blast last year, and I know that there's a bit of overlap with the Jungle Boogie theme this year despite the fact that Zebras roam the savanna and not the jungle, but I digress...

Anyone feel like bringing the zebra gear back out for another round??

I'm guessing official theme nights will be the days at sea, and I know that Touch of Class usually throws their prom on night one, so if it doesn't conflict with any OTHER unofficial theme nights (Porno Clowns, I'm looking at you) what about Thursday night during Jo Jo and / or Big Sam's Funky Nation?

Really, I just want an excuse to sport the zebra snuggie i bought last week that doubles as a top notch zebra pimp cape.

I still have my zebra shoes and whenever you see them you know that it's business time. 8)

Will certainly be sporting the stripes but I am having multiple schedule conflicts this year. I'll try and make at least some portion of whichever night gets chosen but I still need to figure out where I'll be.

Ok kiddies, lets get this Zebra thing going!!!

I have to admit I have been a little slack on the costume front lately, but I went to Bear Creek and I was energized and inspired to see all the zebra/porno clown gear. I got warm fuzzies when I saw August Dupree's zebra shoes. I was also a little embarrassed that I didn't bring my own zebra gear and do a better job representin' the stripes myself. What can I say, I was a Bear Creek newbie and I didn't know any better. Next year I'll be better prepared.

Plus, I'm not on Facebook, but someone sent me a link to the JamCruise page where Cloud 9 said they were getting excited to see the zebras:
Jam Cruise- "Here we are in the middle of the ocean....Cloud 9 staff is sitting in the Bar de Poeti next to the Zebra Bar having meetings picturing all you crazy kids dressed up as Zebras! Oh we can't WAIT for Jam Cruise 9!!!"
Now I feel all official and stuff! 8)

So, sounds like Thursday's the night for Zebras and Friday's the night for Burlesque Porno Clowns right?

You know what else I was thinking would be fun? If we could get the bands who are playing in the Zebra Bar on Zebra night into it too. Probably most of them either wouldn't want to or have the time to put together zebra outfits before JamCruise, but I bet at least Zach Deputy would rock a zebra hat if somebody told him he was playing in the Zebra Bar on Zebra Night. :NINJA:

Mags! It was great to see you and Vince at BC. Glad you guys called me out. I applaud your enthusiasm for this idea and I am glad we are giving it another go. It was really fun to point out to my friend "hey look, I want you to meet Mags. She INVENTED the zebra night!"

Go Zebra or go home. Let's do this, I am in.

Correct... Official night for unofficial Zebra night is Thursday the 6th.

Schedule in the Zebra Lounge that night is:

David Gans 8:30 - 9:15
Zach Deputy 9:30 - 10:45
Jo Jo's Mardi Gras Band 11:30 - 1:00
Big Sam's Funky Nation 1:45 - 3:30

Sadly, there are many conflicts with other amazing acts during these slots, but we still expect quite a few zebras to make an appearance. Group photo op immediately follows Big Sam's Funky nation.
