...unless you guys start making with the stories here. ;) Come on, the lineup looked incredible! Let's hear about all of the cool stuff that happened on board! You've been home for a whole day now!

We were first timers, so don't know how to compare to other JC sailings, but it was freakin' awesome! Not sure where to begin.

Umphrey's on the first night - one of the best UM show's I've ever seen. Shine on You Crazy Diamond in the middle of the ocean, soaring guitars, amazing.
Railroad Earth blew me away, and I wasn't really a fan before seeing them live.
Soulive, Galactic, KDTU, all awesome.
The New Mastersounds. Holy Shit! Incredible. I think I've found another "must go see whenever they're in a 100 mile radius" band.
Keller & the Keels - great fun to watch.
7 Walkers - two great sets.
Ozomatli & Orgone are both bands I hadn't see or heard before - loved both of them.

Zach Deputy, Big Sam and the Lee Boys seemed to be everywhere. Everytime you turned around at a set they were getting up on stage to join in.

Labadee was very cool. Extremely laid back. It was so relaxing to lay on a beach chair while listening to very cool sets from Zach Deputy and Toubab Krewe.

The energy was great through the whole cruise. So much fun and the parties were great.

My face is still sore from smiling so much. :D

i'll tell you what i tell everyone else now, if you weren't there you missed the time of your life. no way to explain the magic that happened on the boat, by far would say it was the best year ever

It was one of the best for me, having a lot of first timers on board was great. Made a lot of new friends with them. At this time last year I wasn't sure if I would be going back this year. Now that I'm back home I know I will be back again for 10 in a row.

Wrong! Best cruise ever! This was my fifth and something magical found its way back on the boat! Music started on time pretty much, food was the best it's ever been and the vibe was wonderful. The ports were also perfect, as a former believer of ports are for sleeping I must say I got off at both and had a fab time. Norma Barbra and Thunder showed us a great time! Yay mon see you all next year!

Since when was THAT the rule?

Oh those days in the Ft. Lauderdale airport where Mel would crash out while I uploaded photos...

It was the best Jamcruise that I have experienced yet. I have said that 8 times now but it really is the case year after year, at least IMO. Unfortunately, I am back at work today and then leaving for SF for 3 days for a conference or I would be posting a lot more right now.

Jamcruise really does exceed itself year after year just like the majority of its passengers do.

All smiles after Jamcruise 10. I can't wait for Jamcruise 11!

August, we're not getting soft, we're just getting older....there, I said it.

   First time Jamcruiser here...

Holy shit. Incredible. Magical. Mystical. Joyous. Intense. Crazy. Beautiful. Lovely. Friendly. Loving. Caring. Freaky. Fun. Psychedelic. Colorful. Festive. Moving. Dancing. Climbing. Refreshing. Odd. Wonderful. Delicious. Smells. Sights. Sounds. Music. Everywhere. Vibes. Kindness. Grateful. New friends. Old friends. Weird friends. Wow. Wow. Wow. WOW!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are a few basic words that could attempt to describe that experience...but they don't come close to capturing it. We weren't there for a long time, we were there for a GOOD time....and extremely kick-ass time!!!!!! Again, I say.....HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Day Highlight for me: Dirty Dozen kick off party was a big fat funky exclamation point. Brace yourselves for a serious fucking dance party. Strap in and hang on!!! Trombone Shorty in the theater
was just off the charts electricity. The guy holds notes forever, sings like a soulful bird, and is an incredible front man/showman. His guitar player rippped and the rhythm section was intense. "Shout" was fun....he walked through the theater singing on a wireless mic....one of my fave shows of the cruise. Umph on main stage, as previously mentioned, was completely insane. They raged. Also played a great cover of Live and Let Die, which seemed like a weird choice but somehow fit perfectly in that anything goes environment...what a BLAST!!

Oh, I love the soft serve machines on the top deck...so sweet. haha... :)

Ok, I'm going to see Girl with the Dragon Tattoo now....more later.....

seriously, give us a minute.
I'm still feeling the boat sway and getting a few hours of sleep to make up for the ones I missed.

I saw a few hundred of these smiling faces as they got off the ship and I knew this year was something special and as much as it hurt it also made me happy to see most of you who post & read on this forum so tired but happy! Not cranky but serene and beaming with happy happy love!

I have spent the last 4 days listening to epic moments of music described to me in great detail and I am very grateful that I was able to read along with the day by day articles from various sources such as Jambase, jambands & Honest Tune.. It helped me understand and relate to all the great experiences you all share.

While discussing all this with a virgin who will be on next year another 7th yr RO summed it up as this year was better than all other festivals put together ever and Jam Cruise was still even better than that!

I knew I was gonna miss something special bc Jam Cruise will always be special..but I have a feeling I missed something even more special than I could dream. The concept is so huge I am relived that I can't grasp it or it might hurt for life (or at the very least the next 11 months) FFS, how is Holidaze gonna live up to this?
