some shows/venues are definitely closer to major airports than others

does it matter which day of the week the show you choose is? ie., Portland OR might be a good one but it's a Thurs night. I don't know anything about the So Cal venues but SF north I know something about many of them. I can help try to figure something out that will work for you...

well i'm would consider the saturday show in san fran or the seattle show on a saturday. portland is 10-18 hours in layover time for me and the flights are all over 500 so thats out for sure. so if you can offer any info or better that would be awesome.

any/much difference in prices between flights to SF or Seattle?

both Seattle & SF have pretty easy public transportation from the airport to the city. In Seattle I could probably help w/transportation to & from the show but probably can't help w/accomodations (I live @ 30 miles east of the city & have a full house these days). both SF & Seattle have hostels that might be worth checking into.... I've heard good reports about the SF hostels and acceptable reports about Seattle. Or maybe you can indeed find someone in one city or the other who would be willing to trade couch/floor space for a ticket to the show.

I like the Boom Boom Room more than Nectar but think that either venue will be great for this show.
