So the time has come to start thinking about how to properly train for JAM CRUISE 11,,,,,????

mardi gras, jazz fest,,,yea they work,,,but a summer music is a great pre-season warm-up{bear creek is the in season warm-up}

so the jam cruise gods have made the choice for us this year,,,,,ALL-GOOD will get another chance, with the change of venue to a old grateful dead spot in ohio, a solid 1st round line-up,,,,,,its a done deal for us!

now who else?????????????/

We've been to 07, 09, 10 & 11.

I'm a little bit concerned about the lineup, with ABB, Phil & Friends, Ratdog at All Good. Plus Franti, Galactic & Lettuce.

Vibes should be announcing the initial lineup in the next few weeks. We may have to seriously look at going to Ohio.

I wonder if there will be lots of overlap so less sit-in's? The All Good lineup is so GD heavy that I feel the spirit of GOTV might be compromised if all of the old dead bands aren't there.

Exactly. GotV is supposed to be in memory of Jerry & GD. Even though they've brought new names into the mix (last year included Jane's Addiction (meh), and Elvis Costello (much better than expected)), it's still had that feel. Not sure how they're going to do it this year.

I'll reserve judgement until they post the initial lineup though.

Travel is pretty easy these days, lots of these bigger bands do more than one fest in a weekend. And these are far enough apart to not get hit with the radius clauses - so I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the same acts playing both, e.g. Friday at AllGood then Saturday at GotV. It happens a lot.
