Challenge: Help me cuddle a koala??!!

Ok here is a challenge.. See what you guys can come up with maybe? We are driving along the coast from Melbourne to Sydney today thru Monday and I am having zero luck finding a place that will let me hold a koala.. You guys are the smartest and most internets savvy people I know.. Can you look around and see if you can find a place along our way?

Unfortunately the best places to cuddle koalas is in Cairns and Brisbane,
but there are a couple of places along your route where you might get lucky.

The first place is a koala sanctuary, you can't pet them there but they're
supposed to be plentyful. There is a koala trail less than a mile long.
I've never been there but I've heard it's a beautiful area.
At Bairnsdale, exit right onto C604 towards Paynesville. It's a short
ferry ride to Raymond Island. Looks like it's all free.
But if you're thinking "screw koalas in trees, I want one to cuddle",
then carry on to the next paragraph!

Symbio Wildlife Gardens is in Helensburg between Wollongong and Sydney.
Be at park at the latest 9am, before they open.
For $95 they let you come in and meet the animals for 20 minutes
before general admission. You should be able to hold a koala there.

Inside Sydney you have the Featherdale park, but that's probably more
crowded. You can do that together with a short cruise in the harbor.

And please, and I say this with love, koalas are very dossile animals
and easily stratled so you have to be very mellow with them and make no
loud noises!

Oh my god! Krys & Knut I love you guys soooooo much! I really have the best friends ever!! I have been frantically looking and I found one of those but to all 4!! You guys just are awesome!!

Ok, we just left Lakes Entrance and I am going to look up all of these and see what will work best for us. Again, thank you x gazillion! The plan is to drive to Wollongong (about 6hrs north) and sleep there. We are having fun staying in motels in sleepy fishing villages too. They really have great coffee and clean rooms. I had shepards pie for brekky..soooo yummy!

oh, and I don't have my phone but Jeff's works but texting is not reliable..if you see me on Skype give a ring

the weather is meh.. Like 66f.. But the sun is out so the countryside is beautiful <3

That was amazing!! We got tons of pics! I'll post as soon as we get back home but that won't be for another 10 days or so as I still have Bowlive!!

We won't make it north of Sydney again.. But we enjoyed that area the very most of all! Between Sydney and Harrington, those beaches are amazing and I must have 5 pounds of shells coming home with me! Thanks for the offer..next time? There WILL be a next time!! I could totally go expat over here
