Yes, this ^ though I think they're insane for doing so. Trying to keep track of which 9 cruises each "Lifer" has been and put together the right luggage tags for each plaque each year is going to be a nightmare. I think it's one of the dumbest things they've decided to do yet :oops:

and they SHOULDN'T give plaques going forward, that should be a first class Lifer thing. IMHO of course

Maybe they'll read this and listen to me :lol:

The other perks (priority boarding, autographs, etc.) totally make sense to give to all 9+ cruisers going forward.

next year is nine for me so i hope the trend continues.the plaque is not going to be my favorite gift(if they give it)but i will take the priority booking and boarding dealie though.

......in business, it's called a good problem to have.....(it cost so much $ to get to this point, it's worth it}

..........the 1st class lifer thing is that they get a new gift each year that no one else will get & if you want that gift you will have to sail alot more & when you get to that point, the 1st class lifer will still be ahead of ya

my guess is that there will be a different gift for 9 time cruisers and only the first lifer class will get plaques and priority boarding and all that jazz. what would be the sense of "priority boarding" when 30%+ of the passengers have it (which they will if they keep giving it).

Maybe 9 time cruisers will get a nice duffle bag next year - that would be nice!!

I seriously doubt lifers will get anymore gifts after their 9th year. I think Cloud 9 is giving them priority boarding and autograph signings to take the place of having to keep giving them new gifts every year.

we'll take this bet,,,,,,,,we think they will as the # will decrease each year, plus it's a great incentive program to make ya come back each year,,,,now some may say they don't care about getting the gifts,,, but most do,,, we've heard outta way to many mouths "i got to come back next year, cause i get my robe"!!!

what we think is that about every 4-5 years the gift will be so good that you'll want to come back for it,,,like the robe,,,then 5yrs later priority boarding,,so some more gifts then around jc15 it will be a great gift,,,,just wait you'll see,,,its a brilliant plan
