IMHO this is how I rate the cruises I have been on and the lineup that just dropped for JC11. Points based on 0 to 3 scale.

JC3 = 48
JC4 = 54
JC5 = 58
JC6 = 50
JC7 = 47
JC8 = 50
JC9 = 63
JC10 = 73
JC11 = 65 (without additions)

Based on my taste. This is just a few additions away from being the best yet. Tell me what you think of this and the other lineups.

Bob

If you add in the workshops, ports, dates..... it can get out of control. I just stick to the lineup. I've been trying to make a system to rate fests on land for years. I've spent way too much time doing it to not have a system in place. One of these days.

My taste liked 9 better than 10.

11 looks great so far, but needs a couple of additions to really hit it out of the park.

I'm digging alot of the artits on JC11 as well as some of the return customers. I was honestly really hoping to see some form of Les Claypool on the boat this year though because he's been MIA for way too long.

No worries... Cloud 9 always seems to come through with the artist additions. It's gonna be a jam good time :DANCE:

Other things to think about are the number of days, the ship, and it's size.

JC3 = 48 - 4 days, Carnival Celibration, 1,800 people
JC4 = 54 - 6 days, MSC Lirica, 2,000 people
JC5 = 58 - 5 days, MSC Opera, 2,000 people
JC6 = 50 - 5 days, MSC Lirica, 2,000 people
JC7 = 47 - 5 days, MSC Orchestra, 2,500+ people
JC8 = 50 - 5 days, MSC Poesia, 2,500+ people
JC9 = 63 - 5 days, MSC Poesia, 2,500+ people
JC10 = 73 - 5 days, MSC Poesia, 2,500+ people
JC11 = 65 (without additions)

With more people and a bigger boat comes a bigger budget. Every year it should be as good if not better then the year before. My taste my not reflect it, but they have done well. JC5 might never be topped for me as far as the whole picture, but JC3 was a packed lineup in just 4 days. I don't remember sleeping on that boat. JC9 was another favorite as far as my heart goes. Can you see why I can never make a system that sticks? Ok Just the lineup. That's it.

Very good, but still seems to be short one headliner. History tells that there is a chance that at least one more big name act could be added soon.

I was fully expecting Primus or at least SOME Les Claypool project, and secretly hoping for Bucket of Bernie Brains.

I'm with you

Well Bernie is on board, so it wouldn't be that hard to just add Claypool and a Bucket and some Brains, right? :WHISTLE:

:THINK: I like the where you guys are going with this. CCBBB is the only Claypool project I have never seen live. Does anyone even know the last time these guys played together?

Hell, for that matter Skerik and Mike Dillon are already on board as well. Now that would be epic!!!!

I don't know if C9 could book CCBBB for JamCruise. Buckethead is never seen without his mask. He would be hold up in his cabin the 2 or 3 days that he would be on the ship. I don't see this Les project every being book for JamCruise. A better idea would be to have them as the pre cruise show on land. Book Les as one project on the boat and another on land! I should do this for a living. Oh wait, I don't have any money to get started. Back to work :(

Buckethead could wear a costume almost the entire time and be as anonymous as he wants to be!
