For those of you that also grew up on "Sabotage" as your teen-angst anthem... As for those not too familiar with the Beastie Boys- please take a moment to appreciate a few of their songs at some point today-instant classics the second they hit the airwaves. Thank you for reading and best wishes to all those in Adam's life.

Thank you again and Godspeed to Adam,
With a heavy heart,

Fubar aka Prairie Dog aka Patrick Ford aka more than grateful cancer survivor.

The world lost a great man in Adam Yauch and a true pioneer in the music industry :(

He and the rest of the Beastie Boys helped me through my entire adolescence.

It is a sad day to loose a member of the Beastie Boys. This was one of the first bands I got into a kid (to the shagrin of my parents). I think it would be a nice tribute for KDTU to bring their Beastie Boys set onto Jam Cruise 11.

Me too. I remember teenage road trips to the beach listening to the Beastie Boys as loudly as possible. They always made me feel more badass than I actually ever was. Sad day.

I have seen that show. The Stoopid guys totally killed it. Yes yes yes. I know we have a tribute set thread somewhere deep down and forgotten, but this one is something we really need on the agenda. C9! KDTU+Slightly Stoopid doing Beastie Boys. Please check it out. I would so totally rock to get that set on pool deck.

I just played Beastie Boys videos for my kids. They are officially corrupted.

Just a quick note- tonight: Saturday May 5th, 2012- 9pm eastern time HBO is showing their coverage of the 2012 Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame Induction from April 5th, 2012- this includes the Beastie Boys.

And as far as all of this KDTU+Stoopid for Beastie Boys Tribute.... = EPIC AND BRILLIANT. I too am in favor of making this happen... Do we start a petition thread or do some of you folks with some Repeat Offender or Lifer status have some pull on who's ear to start filling with the tribute idea?

I'll try starting a new thread and see if they listen. I don't think there is any single one individual with enough pull but if we can start a firsetorm from the bottom things might happen. Let's first find out if anyone else more than us wants this!
