This line up is kind of bland to me. The bands that stand out that I would like to catch would be nicki bluhm and the gramblers and the funky meters. Dig Moe, JJ, and ALO, but this line up just doesn't excite me as much as I had hoped or even as much as the past 3 JC's. :EH: Maybe a late addition or winning the room raffle will change my mind, but if not ... have an awesome jamcruise anyway! Always fun to go down the rabbit hole! 8)

I liked last years line up much better. I probably wouldn't have been able to go anyway next year because of financial restraints but if the line up was better I'd at least try.

this is probably one of my least favorites for the cruises i've been on... but i dont sweat the lineup too much. there's always plenty i want to see and plenty of awesome people to hang out with in the mean time.

this doesn't mean i dont like it... but i'm not a big moe fan and could use some more tron. also, due to the "lackluster lineup" our roomates dropped out and i'm stuck paying double occupancy rates.

Yeah, there may be a few holes to be filled and I'm eager to see that. What stands out most to me is that little space or money appears to be wasted on artists who are gonna hole themselves away in their cabin. I think that the Jam Room has unlimited potential. Look down that list and imagine the possibilities. Roberts, Worrell, Porter and Moore. Wow.

IMHO this is how I rate the cruises I have been on and the lineup that just dropped for JC11. Points based on 0 to 3 scale.

JC3 = 48
JC4 = 54
JC5 = 58
JC6 = 50
JC7 = 47
JC8 = 50
JC9 = 63
JC10 = 73
JC11 = 65 (without additions)

Based on my taste. This is just a few additions away from being the best yet. Tell me what you think of this and the other lineups.

Bob

That looks like work.

Phew, and far too much of it! :D But just comparing the numbers relatively it's probably a fair assessment. I can only speak for JC6 and later.

PS, kpu1162, you forgot to post in the 500 thread! :)

Zink, I don't think we have meet, but I'm sure we will on the boat. We might be at all the same sets.

moe. - hit or miss, so I might be in and out of both sets and stay when they catch me.
Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood - Sick, can I catch both sets without giving up too much else?
Funky METERS - I love seeing them play together again. Brian on the boat!!!
Galactic - Allways good, catching at least one set.
Karl Denson's Tiny Universe - Allways good catching at least one set.
Femi Kuti & The Positive Force - This will be my first Femi show. I've been a fan of him and his father for 15+ years!!!!
Big Gigantic - I will put some dance moves on the floor when they play.
Steel Pulse - On of my Favs. I hope they don't have work visa problems.
JJ Grey & Mofro - I'll be with all my FL people for the pool deck set. I say shoots all around.
Lettuce - Love me some lettuce!
Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk - Always a good time.
Steve Kimock with Bernie Worrell, Wally Ingram and Andy Hess - Oh my. Not only will this be sick, but they will sit in all over. Bernie is going to be all about the Jam Room.
ALO - Good music and Dan is on the boat. See Magic Gravy
Tea Leaf Green - I'll spend a whole set just listening to Reed.
Breakestra - Missed them and regret it. Now I get to make up for it.
Medeski, Skerik, Deitch - Wow, this has got to be Jazz/Jam. This could be set of boat.
The Soul Rebels - It's been too long. Love them and it's great to have them on the boat.
W R D (Walter, Roberts & Deitch) - Another wow! I love all these guys!!!
Greensky Bluegrass - The set in the theatre on JC9 was one of my favorite sets on the boat. Great music, great company, and so much love.
Hot Buttered Rum - Are they playing on the beach? Crap I might have to get off the boat to catch it this time.
Motet - Funk is Dead! - Oh Yes!!!! I love the Motet any way I can get them. Funk is Dead sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Dave and Garret are on the boat!!!! See Magic Gravy!
Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers - This will be a first for me. Still have not checked out the music.
The Pimps of Joytime - I'm sometimes found dancing as I walk in on a set from these cats.
March Fourth Marching Band - I've heard great things. Time for them to show me.
BoomBox - I might dance if I find myself at a set.
ZOOGMA - hmmmmm
Magic Gravy - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wyllys & The New York Hustler Ensemble - I'll be there for the horns.
Orchard Lounge - I guess I need to check out there music.
Kraz - I hope to see him on guitar more then as a DJ
Eddie Roberts Super Jam - Wow, I might have to make the super jam that I always miss.
Everyone Orchestra - Always good times, always bad time of day to play. What's up with that.

Special Guests:
Jeff Coffin - The Flecktones fan in me is pumped!
Mike Dillon - Duh, he's a staple
Col. Bruce Hampton - I'll see him in the casino.

Bob

I'm not going to say the lineup is mind blowingly awesome, but I also won't say its weak. There are major players onboard as musicians and passengers, and that's the beauty of JC for me.
