Jam Cruise goes to eleven with a screening of This Is Spinal Tap in the Teatro Carlo Felice,,followed by Q&A with documentary producer Marty DiBergi(Capt. Toast), guitarist Nigel Tufnel(Eddie Roberts),singer David St. Hubbins(Jesus)(and his fucking wife),and bass player Derek Smalls(Robert Walter).,and all of the guys who have sat in the drummers seat over their history(Mike Dillon,Stanton Moore,Russel Batiste,Jim Loughlin,Billy Martin,Jon Staten,Wally Ingram,Vinnie Amico, alright I'll stop now). how much fun could this be.all we need is some popcorn and I'm set to go.

and to offer the counter view: pump the movie to the rooms if you want, but don't take up a music venue to screen an old movie. thanks

I like the idea of screening Spinal Tap (no sound) on the jumbotron while music is playing instead of the trippy animations at some point.

But I think even better would be to show it inside during the day.... they could put it in the theatre on an afternoon at sea; use the crappy timeslot Everyone Orchestra keeps getting for the movie, and get EO back up on the pool deck with a night slot where they belong! Souns like a win/win to me :mrgreen:

I had thought that too but I don't know if I would be able to pull myself away from the pool deck, the days on Jam Cruise are the only chance I get to see the sun during the month of Jamuary. I got to get my winter dose of vitamin D cause I won't get up here in the great grey Northwest.

But if serk can get herself up early to join my for my bday party this year, I suppose I can pull myself away from the sun to join her for a showing. :wink:

EO needs to get back on pool deck and the theater is ideal for movie screening if it's done during dead time.

You've got a point. I was mainly making an opportunistic plug here to get EO back on pool deck where they belong and not hidden in the theater. I'm sneaky that way. As you know I have been doing this every year and C9 always responds with a resounding "f**k off!". But we all know that the water drops carve out a stone not by force but by persistence!
