So Jamcruise is making a big announcement next week. Any guesses for additional bands/musicians?

My vote is for Big Sam!

Thanks.

It could just be more activities etc....or the music at the ports.

I hope It's Zach Deputy b/c that would make it less likely he'll be on the boat when I return for JC13. I would not be sorry if I never hear another note from that guy....

Eh when there are always 4 artists playing at once I hope there's one that doesn't float my boat anyway. Nothing worse than having to pick between two of your favorites like I did last year with PGroove vs New Mastersounds.

Big Sam tweeted last night that he is NOT on the BOAT, wishes he was!

YES - for the most part I agree but Zach spent waaaay too much time in the Jam Room last year & that's where I like to hang out late night. But instead I kept leaving my favorite venue on the boat to escape his neverending drone & it had a big negative impact on my experience. So please! Pick Zach for this year so he can live in the jam room and not impact me at all!

Sparky, I hope you realize what you are really saying here. i wouldn't wish the dep back on for this year or next. why would you even suggest this. do you hate your fellow cruisers that much or is it just that you think that your the only one that wanted to shoot the deputy last year?

ahahahahaha
SORRY!!!!
unfortunately I feel it is inevitable that he will be back on the boat within the next year or two.... for reasons I will NEVER understand it seems that the Jam Cruise org and some Jam Cruisers love him.. and so if he's gonna be back I - selfishly, I admit - want it to be when I am not. dude is a mediocre talent at best, with an ego that is even bigger than his physique. IMHO, of course.

like deputy but sparky is right he needs to be banned from the jam room. hopefully the host of the night will have balls this year to go and tell anyone not fitting in or sharing the stage to get the fuck off and let someone else get in on the fun cause thats what the jam room is all about not hoging the stage all night on more than one night.

I guess the announcement emails just went out. Still waiting for mine to arrive (slow electrons in VA today)...

The String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth, Umphrey’s McGee’s Joel Cummins and The Lee Boys’ Roosevelt Collier have joined Jam Cruise 11’s lineup. All three acts will perform as special guests aboard the cruise. The three musicians have performed on Jam Cruise multiple times—Cummins has only missed two of the past 10 Jam Cruise and Collier has performed as a surprise guest the past two years of the cruise.
In other news, Jam Cruise has confirmed that Hollingsworth, JJ Grey, Ivan Neville, ALO’s Zach Gill and Nigel Hall will all play bonus piano sets in the ship’s multi-level lobby during the cruise. Likewise, Mike Dillon, Karl Denson, Brian J, The Motet’s Joey Porter and ALO’s Dan Lebowitz will host the Jam Room in different evening’s during Jam Cruise. Other recent activity additions include a Door Decorating Contest judged by Zoogma, The Gong Show and Between the Beats Workshop with Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood. As Jam Cruise explains, “In the Between the Beats Workshop they will share their ideas and approaches to collaborative songwriting, developing technique, and how they continue to evolve musically. You’ll also hear stories from their long, dynamic careers – both together and apart. This will be a very special chance to hear them up close.”
