HAPPY SUNDAY YA'LL! we up early for the PO-BOY fest, since we love to eat and wanna down over 10 outta the 40 po-boys and since about 40,000 people will show up to oak st today,,,,the feeling is dat "early birds get da po-boys"! plus add in some live music like "George Porter Jr, Honey Island Swamp Band, Johnny Sketch,Papa gros, Los Po boy Citos" just to name a few, makes this the BEST single day fest this city has!

Happy Sunday, at Senat club last night for live music, awesome, Douala has the best live music of the ports in West Africa, this band had me blown away, jazz, blues, funk. Can't wait to get off this boat and to the cruse. W

Or maybe JC should add Douala as a port of call?

Happy Sunday, at the Senat club in Douala again, another guitarist joined the band this week and again he was awsome, jam cruse could get bands from these countries and If visas are a problem they could join at the first port of call outside the U.S. and depart at the second port. Nothing happening today just sitting at the dock, I would never even consider taking a cruse on my off time, I spend enough time on the ocean every year but am excited about jam cruse, sounds like lots of fun, less than a month! W

Another Saterday night at the Senat club in Douala, some VIP Cameroonian officials there with big body guards with no necks dressed in black suits. One of the woman singers belted out Nickelback's How you remind me, you ain't seen nothing like an African woman throwing that one at you, all the white people in the bar had there fists in the air rocking it and the Cameroonians getting into it and watching us expats rock, surreal! Got a bonus on the way home got to talk to the AK-47 toting police who pulled over the taxi looking for "a little something" my visa is fine and the drivers paperwork was good, it's the Christmass season here everyone is trying to get present money to bring home, more shakedowns than normal. HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!! we gonna go make groceries today,,as we plan on spending the next 3days home costume making, baking cookies, making chili and packing,,,,12days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bring the rain, as it's only gonna bother our doggies when they have to go to the bathroom.....
