I'm flying in on Sunday, Jan. 6th. Anyone know of a cheap, decent place to rest my bones before we take off on Monday? The places that I saw online were $200/night! I'm sure there are better options out there, but I'm a virgin and I don't know the area.

FYI: The BCS National Championship game is being held on 1/7 in Miami.

That seems to be why the prices are higher than usual and rooms are completely sold out some places.

We are staying in a house boat Saturday and Sunday night before the cruise. It was cheaper than hotels and sounds like fun to me.

I found the houseboat on www.homeaway.com. I have used Flipkey.com and VRBO.com to find great, cheap apartments or houses to rent and stumbled on this one. It is docked at the person's home and we also have use of their pool. 20 days!! I can't concentrate on anything (except on costumes), and look so forward to this vacation.
