Happy Sunday to all! It was 66 degrees yesterday, but only 30 today but sunny and then there is football. So when do we get the dates for next year posted? I am ready to start the countdown to JC12.

First week in May. Always. Many of us have been begging C9 to announce dates before they announce the lineup but so far they have refused. Maybe this time they won't even know that far ahead of time since we're changing ships.

happy sunday ya'll!!! we are in the thick of more fun!!!! if ya'll don't know about mardi gras,,,,well lets put it this way,,,there's no event in the world which brings such a diverse group of people together,,,mardi gras brings the old, the young, the rich the poor,, all religions, races, republican, democrat or other,,,,,all these people get together on the streets and party as one big happy family...its a family event,, ya get to dress in costume....the parades throw you more stuff then you can carry!,,,,,,,so come on down,,we got a ticket 4 you!

This is the first time I've heard Mardi Gras descibed as a family event. I still haven't done it, but the reputation among outsiders is that it's more about beads and boobies than a family oriented event. I consider myself educated!

we make it a point to invite friends that have young kids each and every year to come and stay with us, so that they can experience it,,,,

i can only imagine what it would be like for a kid who's still at the age of believing in santa to see a mardi gras parade....

i know this,,,after a family was here a few years ago,,,a family that has done alot of cool/great things like jc/bc,,,thanks us for the greatest week of there life,,,,guessing seeing the joy of the little one,,shouing "HAPPY MARDI GRAS" sealed the deal,,,,,,still after hearing many great sounds in my life,,,,those words shouted by that special kid warm my heart just thinking about it!

It's not NOLA, but St Louis does Mardi Gras very well. Big Sam is going to be playing for our Mardi Gras ball this Friday. It is the Mystic Knights of the Purple Haze's 25th Anniversary and our float is going to win first place again this year. Any St Louis forum participants . . . let me know if you will be there Friday. (I know Missy will be there.)
