So if we get the bigger boat, what band will help sell it out? 1,000 more people. I think it might be Tedeschi Trucks Band. What do you think? And yes, Further would probably do it as well.

I also thought Primus and String Cheese. Not sure if Leslie likes the boat or not, been gone for a few years.

This topic kinda scares me... it took me a while to get used to the increase in capacity of the Poesia.

Panic and Cheese would be the next step up in terms of drawing power I'd say.

Phish and Furthur are probably still out of reach IMO. Phish will aways be. I'd pay big money for a Phish cruise though. I'm sure many would.

Primus, maybe, but I wouldn't think the fanbase crossover there is as strong.

Bring back the Biscuits! They don't play often, but they are playing bigger venues these days. :NINJA:

It looks like Divina is a bigger ship with a smaller pooldeck (or at least not a big single level pooldeck in one area). On the other hand there are more places where small stages can be set up. So maybe the answer is to have more bands that can draw a few hundred people and spread them out across the boat. Dear god, can you imagine the FOMS! Panic!!! (no, the last was not a band suggestion!)

I dont know if this will work for two reasons. 1FOMS and 2with smaller stages i think it will get crowded too quickly with the bigger draws

As much as I would like to see Primus on the boat, I don't like the idea of 1000 extra people who came on the boat for Primus. I mean, they're mostly assholes and I don't like getting punched in the face at shows. As for Trey...I'd be happy with Oysterhead. Anything else would just make whatever I went to see instead less crowded, so okay. :)

I wonder what the real capacity difference is for JC on these boats. According to Wiki the max capacity is only 300 more with the Divina, but cruise ship capacity can vary a lot depending on how that particular cruise was sold ( doubles vs quads etc). But even three hundred more seems tough given how late the current boat is selling out.

Oysterhead would be sweet. Trey would def fill the boat.

Its kinda a hard question. A lot of the big bands right now are super popular with the young crowd and wont really sell that many cabins, IMO.

just bring Lotus back and ill be happy

qft. As much as I appreciate Primus, I don't like being up front during a Primus set.

What about Further (or at least a classic Phil & Friends lineup), The Allman Brothers Band (and maybe drag along Gov't Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band), or The Black Crowes?

Just having a great line up will sell out regardless ... but maybe ...

String Cheese
John Butler Trio
Further
Tedeschi Trucks
