Although I've seen him a few times, I would love to see The Talking Heads get together for a tour.

I saw him at my very first Jazz Fest. What an amazing show. Here's to hoping there will be some Crazy Horse tour dates after the guitarist's hand has healed. I guess there was talk about these last shows that were now canceled being their last ever.

Genesis w/ Gabriel

It could still happen. But I'd take Phish w/ Gabriel too if only for one album.

Could've seen the tops on my list, Prince, Steely Dan & Tommy Emmanuel in Reno (separate shows) but tix were too expensive. Stevie Wonder & Aretha Franklin are up there. Doubt very much I'll get to see a Roxy Music reunion. I blew off Roxy @ the Oakland Coliseum Arena b/c I had a law school exam the next day & then they broke up shortly afterwards. I blew off the Stop Making Sense show @ the Greek Theatre in Berkeley b/c tix were $25, which was at least $10 more than David Gilmour, Yes, King Crimson shows there & $13 more than U2 @ the Cow Palace w/in weeks of each other. It's the show I kick myself most for missing. Unfortunately there isn't a snowball's chance in hell the Talking Heads will get back together. Here's an excerpt from a Byrne article:

"Admittedly, any such reunion would be problematic. More than most bands, Talking Heads' lifespan was marred by personal conflict and ill will. There were messy disputes over songwriting, with Byrne supposedly refusing to recognise the contributions of his bandmates. And then there was the break-up itself.

The band ended infamously in late 1991 while Byrne was promoting his solo album Uh Oh. During an interview, Byrne snapped in response to repeated questions about Talking Heads that the band had broken up. He would later claim it had merely been a way to get the journalist to drop the line of questioning, but the story naturally enough made it into print. The first Weymouth, Frantz or Harrison knew of Talking Heads' demise was when they read about it in The Los Angeles Times.

Byrne has had minimal contact with his former bandmates in the years since. In March last year, Weymouth described Byrne as "a man incapable of returning friendship". She told Glasgow's Sunday Herald: "Cutting off attachments when a thing/person is perceived to have served its purpose or there is a perceived threat to ego is the lifelong pattern of his relations".

Despite this animosity, it seems Weymouth, Frantz and Harrison are still willing to bury the hatchet for the sake of a potentially lucrative reunion tour. Frantz went as far as meeting with Byrne in early 2004 in order to sound him out on the idea of a reformation. Byrne is reported to have asked Frantz politely never to raise the subject again. "I don't know if I said it quite like that," Byrne laughs, "but that's probably what I meant."" (http://www.theage.com.au/news/Music/Byr ... 87488.html)

I've seen Pink Floyd 5 times, but I rather seriously doubt they'll reunite for a tour either. Gilmour has repeatedly said he he has no desire whatsoever to do it & he doesn't need the $. "I understand how other people want that sort of thing to happen," Gilmour said in 2011. "But I'm entirely selfish in thinking that I want to enjoy my declining years exactly the way that I want to do it. And that wouldn't be part of it."
