So we are less than a week away....and I have NOT 1 costume. I don't know where my inspiration has gone....I have a few ideas about underwater/fish/mermaid make up....but that's about it. Oh, and I have an uninspired purple shirt. I need some help, friends. What have the costume muses cooked up for you?

I'm doing better with the unofficial ones than with the official ones.

Perhaps you can find some crazy shiny purple fabric at a local fabric store and make a dance cape? Get more purple and all that glitters in one swell swoop.

I'm right with you, Maugie. I have a (long-sleeved) purple shirt, and a Hawaiian shirt, and that's about it. I've only known that I was going to be on the boat for about the past month, and with work and a new baby, I haven't even given any further thought to costumes. I'm gonna stop by the costume shop on the way home from work today (if they're even open), but I'll probably be flying under the costume radar for most of the trip.

Forgive me for being the one not dressed up - I know I'll be in the minority.

I'm pretty lackluster this year too, but hoping to do some whirlwind crafting this week before getting on the plane. I have:

day 1: nada... maybe something fairy-ish
day 2: cheerleader outfit, and team Ts
day 3: purple stuff (I knit myself a new purple skirt for this :D and I have TONS of purple stuff in my closet)
day 4: rainbow sparkle rhinestone everything
day 5: nada... some blue sparkly stuff maybe... or put on pasty white makeup and be dead in the water... no great ideas for this
