Just saw this on Jam Base. It says Fishman of Phish and Pork Tornado didn't show up for the cruise. I hope this isn't true. Im not even on the boat and this makes me sad. :(

he's probably pretty sad he missed the boat too. We got an Electron set, all was good. :)

He had the flu, shit happens *shrug* :). Pork tornado was there minus fishman, they played their first set with Stanton sitting in for him and their second set was replaced by an electron set. All good awesomeness, hope he's feeling better!

Wow, you went in the boat to see pork tornado?? Have you ever seen them before? Trey's guitar tech on lead guitar and a sax player that spreads his ass cheeks wide open on stage so you can see his asshole. I'm so glad they cancelled!!

No ,I wanted to see Fishman play with some of the great musicians on the boat and possibly in the Jam Room. I could give a shit about Pork Tornado.

Yes , I am the sole reason that someone got sick after Jam Cruise. Because that has never happened ,ever.

I would have lost the $1400+ that I spent for the cruise plus airfare and hotels. So I sucked it up and powered through. What would you have done ?

Buy the travel insurance like Cloud 9 recommends.

I thought the substitution of Electron was excellent work on C9's part.

Sucks he didn't make it, but in the big picture, who really cares that much? There were at least 2 or 3 more talented drummers that did make it on the boat. Fishman's not even in the same league as Stanton a.k.a. Superman...

True statement.

Fishman plays in a headlining band.
Stanton plays the after party.

So if the group that one band member is in is more successful then the other band members group, this makes that more successful group band member a better musician. Never really thought of it like that

i would have to say as far as drummers i have seen live, phishman is way down the list of BADASS drummers

i would also have to say, if you came on JC for one particular musician, you are missing out on what JC really is about
