Yes, but we've been asked to not say. I can say it was a good reason, that he didn't just flake and blow it off.

I saw him at Catskill Chill and he said he going through a rough patch right now and needs to get himself healthy again. Without going into detail , I just hope he finds his way back to us.

I hope they welcome him back in the future. I'm sure he has more than earned it on the pool deck at sunrise.

Please pardon my ignorance, but who (besides George Porter Jr. and the Kimocks) filled in for Brock Butler at his scheduled set on the Magic Hat Stage on Tuesday? Thanks.

I missed it :( but this is what jambands.com says:

The days first big surprise came when George Porter Jr., the Disco Biscuits’ Aron Magner, Brothers Past’s Tom Hamilton, Steve Kimock and John Morgan Kimock joined forces on the solar stage for a fantastic set of Grateful Dead covers. The unscheduled supergroup was created to replace Brock Butler, who was unable to make it on to the boat.

Kimock the younger is a drummer.
