If you're pretty sure you're going, the line-up is like a dream come true, and you're just incredibly pumped for the JamCruise 2003 --- which band was the #1 clencher for you? Vote & comment here.

Of course this isn't to say who's the best band, and it could well be a surprise contender takes the top set on the cruise -- we'll see! For me, I really dig the diversity. The common thread seems to be improvisation and blending of genres, with a wide-ranging contrast of acoustic, electric, electronic. I've not yet heard 3 of the bands. Peter Rowan is a legendary favorite, but my top vote goes to the Disco Biscuits to hijack the controls of the bisco boat. All the bands are great choices though, and I wouldn't be surprised if the best songs of the cruise are fresh collaborations among multiple artists.

Setting it on cruise control,
love,daniel

Hands down the disco biscuits. They will take this boat from above the waves, down to the bottom. It will be incredibly sick. When this "jam" cruise is all said and done, it will be the bisco boat.

Z-TRIP and Peter Rowan....both are clenchers in my book....each for their contributions to the world of music....

This is gonna be the best cruise ever.

guest, or mr negativity, what makes you so sure this cruise isn't going to happen? do you know the promoters? do you know how hard they have worked to put this thing on?

i bet you are one of those negative bisco kidz who's 100CD changer only has live biscuits cd's, or schpongle in it, who listens to nothing else besides your precio0us bisco.

jeez man, get over yourself, so you won't be on the cruise. the 800 people who will will sure as hell be glad your negative ass isn't there.

in the immortal words of larry david.. "what a jerk."

Actually, I don't really like bisco that much and no I don't know these promoters. Now Skinny Rick from Superfly, I know him quite well and I know what goes into planning these things. I also know the jam band community pretty well and in the end I don't think they are going to get 800 people to shell out the dough required. It isn't just the cost of the cruise that you have to factor in but also the cost of getting to ft lauderdale, possibly a hotel for a night or two there as well.

Finally, I don't think they are going to be able to secure the insurance required for such an event and this I know very well because I deal with Financial Risk Mitigation for a living.

Just my .02. Oh, and if by some grace of god this thing does happen I will be there....
