Post subject: Dress Code - What to pack?
PostPosted: Fri Nov 14, 2003 4:10 pm
I've been on cruises before when we were expected to dress up for dinner. Like one night was "Captains Dinner" and cocktail attire was expected.

What do we need to pack? I assume that Jamcruise might be a little more relaxed than other cruises?

Yes, I would like to know, too..... although, since it'll just be our group on da ship, is there gonna be a "dress code" like a regular cruise?

I have also heard about certian meals, like the Captians Dinner or something that required more elegant attire - or attire at all for the matter.

If you expect that to happen - alert us . . . repeatedly, cuz i wasn't planning on much more than flip-flops and tee shirts the whole time.

Oh, and a good rule of thumb - if you are wearing a speedo OR LESS you are under-dressed.

according to the faq files we dont need dress up clothing. however, also according to those same faqs, it is requested that men do not wear speedos ;)

final word: resort casual...

Hi Cruisers,

I guess we figured the FAQ was enough info...but since it's not, I'll explain.

First of all, BRING YOUR BOAS! Bring your funky clothes, dress up in any way you want to.

HOWEVER, this cruise ship is NOT like any other. Although it says there is a captains night, we've waived that and told them that everyone was to be able to be casual if you want.

So, you can come to dinner dressed in shorts and a t-shirt if you want to, or feel free to make it special and wear something else.

Dinner will be open seating for about 2-3 hours which will give you time to change or get situated when we come back from the shores and after the sail away shows.

Cool?

Any more questions about dress code? Go for it.

OH and there will be a "clothing optional" place on the boat, but I'd suggest wearing something for the dining room :)

Hey everyone,

I just paid for Jam Cruise II today - yipppieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My question is how warm is it generally in January? Can I run around in a bikini all day (excepting dinner) or do I need to bring warmer clothes?

I am so excited for the show this is going to be awesome :)

To answer the weather question...

It will be around 60 at night but 80 during the day in January most likely, so bring some cover up clothes but wear as little as you can/want to during the day.

And bring a rain jacket if you want to, JUST IN CASE....
