Post subject: How about a DJ Workshop
PostPosted: Tue Dec 23, 2003 5:35 pm
I noticed Stanton Moore is having a Drum Workshop. What would be the possibility we could get the DJ's on the cruise to give us some insight into their art. I know people in the jam scene love the addition of DJ's to the festivals, but I think alot of people don't truly respect them as musicians. I think it would be an excellent idea to give these guys a chance to show us what they are made of. I have been to festivals with different instrument workshops, make the jam cruise even more unique by adding a DJ workshop. :?:

i think this is a great idea. whether or not i would take part in it is another thing, but it is definitely as good or better than any other instrument workshop.

looks like i'm going on jamcruise II - as long as i get the sleeping arrangements worked out. so hopefully, you and your girlfriend will still recognize me. it's been awhile since harvest fest. if you can't find me, just look for z93's official mascot, hal the broken clown. i'll be walking around with him a lot. you can't miss him. he's about 6'2" - taller in 5" platform tennis shoes, wears tie-dye dresses, a wig and usually i do his tie-dye makeup. he's a very cool & nice guy. seems to attract a lot of attention...

i did an interview with him on my website, if you're interested:

peace,
jamgrrl
ps: i have recent pics (from atlanta) of new monsoon and others on my site

Sounds very interesting, a topic I have been curious about for a long time.

Let me know if it is to occur on Jamcruise I and if it is at a time I can make it I will go.
