I think we've done this before, but mine was Jethro Tull, Madison Square garden, september 1973, the Passion Play tour!

We have a sponsor for this thread... Depends!

Oh god...... I was 13 and it was Garth Brooks.......

But it does remind me of the guy at Margaritaville 2 years back (Turks & Caicos) who kept singing "I've got friends in low places".... does anyone remember him??? OR BETTER YET, are you on the forum lurking??????

Mine was back in 1984, 4th grade for me, good old Timex Social Club with the shirtless New Edition opening. I did not understand why the women were screaming so much at the shirtless men.

Monsters of Rock '84
The only band I remember is Van Halen. My friends mom took us. My parents got pissed because we didn't tell them where we were going and we got home so very late. I was 11.

First rock concert: circa 1987 Guns & Roses opened up for Aerosmith.... Quite the rockin show! I still have the G&R t shirt which I cut the sleeves off of to make it a Muscle T. I will have to bring that out to the next JC..... Maybe one year we can have a Headbangers costume nite.

Actual first concert: Dan Fogelberg at the county fair... I don't really count that one tho....

thanks for starting this one up again JD since I think I must've missed the original...

cheers!

My real first concert was involuntary... The Cars at Clark University, before they had an album. 1977 I think it was. My mom was working for the University and had set up the show and dragged me along to help her. I kicked and screamed and didn't want to go, but thanked her later cuz I had a great time. 8)

My first voluntary concert was the Grateful Dead, Providence RI November 1979.

Jeff Healy Band "See The Light" tour summer '88 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA. Still one of the better shows I ever saw. 8)
