Oh, man! Glad I'm not the only mad bomber here...but at least you got paid for your handiwork. :) I do have a cousin who runs a fireworks warehouse, however. It's funny how he got the state to adjust the law so they could only be used for "agricultural purposes only" (purportedly to scare the birds...which of course they are very effective at doing).

BTW, you never ask a spy if they are a spy...that's the first rule of espionage. The second rule is you burn the first rule after reading.

Now did ya ever jump out of an airplane wearing a tutu into a pack of tigers? :) [sounds like a screenplay to me]

P.S.: These facts are just too crazy to have been fabricated!

I was very good friends with the Brad Warren (rip) who was the principle caretaker of Dr Bleyman's facility in Pittsboro, NC back in 1978-1982 when I was in college and we would go out often and work on building facilities at the compound. there were times I was able to take tiger cubs to various parties, to the beach and even to bars (its the ultimate chick magnet!). There were also jaguars, leopards, servals, caracals and binturongs on the grounds but they were to aggressive to interact with.

here is a bit about Dr. Bleyman
http://www.zoetigers.org/bleyman2.html

and here is what the facility is today

1. I was a very shy child. I have to fight my inner self to be the social Bob that you all know. I could become a hobbit in a heartbeat.

2. I collect coins. My grandfather got me into it many years ago. I can spend hours looking at coins. At this time my room contains close to $1000 in coins at face value. Yes, it sucks to move.

3. I have never broken a bone in my 32 years of life. I have also never had stitches(even if I should have). My brother has never broken a bone either. We were some crazy kids and have no idea why we are unbreakable.

4. Nobody has cut my hair since 1991. I try to cut it off at my waste now and then, but only really do it about once in two years.

5. I have never used anything other then alcohol. Nope, not even the green. It's just not something I want to try. I like my Rum and my Rum likes me.

I've got so many I don't know if I can stop at just five...
  1. Won $2500 on my first, and only bet ever, on a horse-race at the Kentucky Derby.
  2. Have been to 48 US States (missing Maine and Alaska), and over 48 different countries.
  3. Have sailed/crewed a (replica) 18th century three masted ship from Panama to the Galapagos Islands, where one of my jobs was to climb the rigging on the tallest mast to act as lookout.
  4. Have been to 5 Olympics (1996-Atlanta, 2000-Sydney, 2002-Salt Lake City, 2004-Athens & 2008-Beijing) and 2 Soccer World Cups (2002-Korea, 2006-Germany).
  5. Have eaten worms, grasshoppers, crickets, a scorpion, and a giant cockroach on Kho San Road in Bangkok, Thailand. (Didn't mind the crickets, the rest were pretty nasty, especially the cockroach!)
