Thanks, Sharon...you taught me a new word today!
Across seas azure
Floating melodic wonder
Funktabulous heat!
BluzBill...haiku master!
Luna: The lurker to poster ratio here is maybe 20 to 1. But I think you offered some encouragement -- been a while since I saw a haiku-off.
Your sentiments are shared by many. You'll need more grounding over and over again as you encounter the elevators, pool deck, the theatre and every time you enter a new room it will bring your eyes out of your sockets and your jaw will bounce on the ground a few times...but you'll need that to drink up, so the moment is fleeting. Fortunately, it recurs more times than you will be able to count.
I'd say floating is the best way to roll onto the pool deck...it makes the ship lighter and you won't even feel your feet.
You may almost have an idea of what you're in for, but there's nothing you can do to prepare for that first moment of WHAT THE...HOLY MOLY THIS SHIP IS GINORMOUS!!!! I suggest your hubby or friends have a camera handy to get a good pic of your face (video works well) when you stroll onto the pool deck for the first time. Best way is from the top jogging track, that way you can soak it all in and appreciate the vastness of it all.
Then there's a whole new dimension at night time as the rainbow lights come on and the party kicks in all over again...and again...and again.
